More than met expectations, not only informative but a beautiful book as well, swiftly delivered in perfect condition

I enjoyed the techniques and helpful hints in this book.

Not impressed. Basic information for beginners

Imformative and easy to follow

This slender book offers little in instruction on techniques and processes for the beginning artist. In my opinion it assumes an expertise that is probably not there for the average beginner -- I count myself in that category, as I am returning to pastels after an absence of more than a decade. There was a short section on perspective which was very helpful, but other than that the demonstration of techniques was skimpy. The artist included representative pastel paintings of his own, which are lovely, but not much instruction on how to duplicate them. Disappointing book that I cannot recommend to the beginner.

Expected it to be new. It was used and still had the library IDs on it.
