The Fall - Series 1-2 [DVD]

Am loving this box set of the fall. Gillian Anderson is perfect for it & Jamie well that's why am addicted to it.What does annoy me with the DVD is that it never plays straight from the start of a scene, I have to rewind it back every time by up to 5 mins.

Fantastic storyline & superlative acting. Dark & gripping from the beginning but the violence & sex scenes were never gratuitous. The fact that the killer was identified from the start in no way detracted from the action.It did, in fact, enhance the fox & hound scenario & was fine study in the complexities of the human condition.

I can't think how we missed the first series but having read the glowing reviews of the second, we bought both. The reviews are right. Tightly written, excellent and unusual plot, well structured and beautifully edited. Editors are a very unsung race of people but so important. Excellent casting throughout.

I love Jamie dornan, and in this series he plays a serial killer, which is vastly different to fifty shades. It shows his versitality.

Excellent 5 stars. The acting is incredible.Very powerful and intelligent drama which is shocking to watch.I recommend all series of THE FALL, 1,2,3,and 4.

The box sets of Season 1 & 2 are very good value as I write, and I bought a set.However I enjoyed the two seasons so much that I then had to find Season 3 to view the climax of the story which is about a serial killer played superbly by Jamie Dornan, who stalks, humiliates and then strangles his victims.Up against him is the stunning Gillian Anderson of 'X Files' fame ---- she is like a good Merlot which is aging very well and is the heart of the series and is good to watch if you can forgive the monotonous tone of her voice.This box set has English dialogue and English subtitles, 690 minutes long, with bonus features such as 'behind the scenes'. But be aware that if you like the series (I found it gripping and very well acted throughout) you may want Season 3 which is the stunning conclusion of the story.

Diese Serie ist sehr sehenswert, denn echt spannend. Sie zeigt seltsamerweise parallel die Leben der Agentin und des Mörders, sodass der Zuschauer immer genau weiß, was Beide tun. Das ist das krasse daran. Der Zuschauer weiß von der ersten Minute, wer der Mörder ist. Und der wirkt auch noch nett. Manchmal. Bis zur letzten Folge der zweiten Staffel ist es spannend. Unheimlich. Der Cliffhanger ist genial und ließ mir den Atem stocken. Nun hoffe ich auf die dritte Staffel.

la serie e' molto più' efficace in lingua originale che tradotta in italiano. jamie dornan rende di più' come serial killer che mr. gray.

Prescindendo dal fatto che l'ho comprato in lingua originale con sottotitoli in inglese per perfezionare piacevolmente l'uso dell'inglese, la serie è un prodotto eccellente, scritto e confezionato benissimo, con ottimi interpreti ed una regia ben fatta. Consigliato agli amanti del genere .

Beste Serie seit langem. Ich empfehle sie in Englisch zu sehen. Die deutsche Synchronisation fand persönlich ich nicht ganz so gut.

The Fall ist eine super Serie - Jamie Dornan und Gillian Anderson sind ein gute Kombination. Kann es kaum erwarten bis die dritte Staffel veröffentlich wird.

Una delle serie che ho amato di più..mi ha tenuto col fiato sospeso tutto il tempo, consiglio la versione in lingua originale.

ich war überrrascht, vielleicht hab ich es auch nicht richtig gelesen, aber die DVD sind alle in englischer Sprache. Egal macht gar nix, so lernt man gleich nebenbei besser englisch. Den Inhalt versteht auch so und die beiden Hauptdarsteller sind einfach genial. Dornan wie auch Anderson spielen hervorragend ihre Rollen und endlich mal eine richtige tolle spannende Krimi-Serie. Hoffentlich gibt es mal eine Fortsetzung.

I really love The Fall and was wanting season 2. I actually already had season one, but the package for season 1 & 2 was $10 cheaper than simply buying just season 2. Go figure. I know you can watch it on Netflix, which I have. But it was one of the shows I wanted my own copy of.In any case, the video and audio were excellent quality. There were two special feature interviews and deleted scenes. In warning, this was from the UK. I have a region free DVD player so I can watch it in the US. If you don't, you won't be able to buy the seasons to watch until they are released on Amazon in the US.

I have a DVD drive that will play region 2 (Europe) DVDs so I bought this as soon as I discovered it because I was very anxious to see season two. It definitely does not disappoint; it's as good as season one, maybe even better. I hope that VERY soon season two will be released on region one DVDs so the US can enjoy this amazing British TV series. Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan are mesmerizing lead actors.
