Nice controller, works well with Steam and Linux (after a firmware update)
So, these XBox controllers. They apparently have a Bluetooth bug that stops them from working properly with the majority of devices. Only the XBox works with them flawlessly, as it's permissive to their strangenesses.I tried to connect it to my Linux laptop, but I got the same problem that I got with a pair of headphones that have a bluetooth bug in the connect phase. The headphones are supposed to advertise some information, such as audio profiles, but they don't, and the laptop just boots them off, and they try to reconnect... rinse repeat. The same thing was happening with this controller. It was trying to connect, would be recognised by Steam, but nothing would work, and I'd find that the controller had lost connection and been kicked off a few seconds after it had connected. It seems that the controller has a bug, which M$ know about, because if you download the XBox firmware updater app when the controller's connected to a windows PC, the app immediately spots there's an issue and installs a later firmware. As soon as you try to connect the controller after the update, it works perfectly. But if, like me, you don't have a spare windows machine lying around, you'll need to beg/borrow/steal a Windows PC to load up the software to update the firmware. IT doesn't run under Wine / Oracle VMBox properly, sadly.Once the controller is patched and connected, it's great (for a controller). Don't get me wrong, I think using controllers is awful in the majority of games. Give me Kbd + Mouse any day for anything other than a simple racing game. But, for a controller, this one is pretty neat. The electric volt colour was my boy's idea. He really liked the green, so asked for that one. It does look nice, but slightly out of place with all his blue LEDs. Nice brushed finish to the texture, though.A pretty good controller, but they need to start shipping patched units!

Bright, Responsive, and Built to Play
The Electric Volt Xbox controller doesn’t just look great—it performs flawlessly. The vibrant neon yellow color really stands out (in the best way), and it’s even better in person. It feels solid in hand with a comfortable, well-balanced grip that makes long gaming sessions a breeze. The buttons are responsive, the analog sticks are smooth, and the textured grips on the back are a nice touch for added control. Pairing was instant with both my Xbox Series X and PC via Bluetooth—no hiccups.Battery life is strong, and it supports rechargeable packs if you want to ditch AA batteries altogether. If you want a controller that pops visually and delivers the same top-tier performance Xbox is known for, this is an easy 5 stars. Stylish and reliable—what more do you need?

Great Build Quality
So, the difference between a Logitech Controller and this product is outstanding. The Build quality is much better, it feels better to the hand. The share button won't work on PC even in Windows 10, unless you upgrade to Windows 11. My PC happened to just update itself to Windows 11 and we all know how annoying and at times unfinished Windows 11 feels, but hey sharebutton works which makes it easy to share gaming moments with friends.Only two issues I faced since the Win 11 update - it does seem to disconnect from the PC (bluetooth) very rarely - although it might be because I have like 2-3 devices connected like Alexa, Earbuds to the bluetooth. But still odd, happened back to back a few times and was annoying. The motors are okayyyy mild - I remember using PS3's Dual Shock 3 and those were still more impressive.I am not sure if the AA batteries run out really quick or not. I might have used the 2 battery cells that came with the box - if so they ran out in a month or under. If they were my own, brand new from the package then that's concerning. My memory doesn't serve me right on that. But, if that's the case then Xbox wants to push you to buy their own rechargeable batteries for the controller which as per their reviews end up NOT RECHARGING in a few months lol.
