Better Alternative to Gatorade …
I’m not a real big fan of most sports drinks as they simply offer an abundance of sugar as a cheap carb for energy. KILL CLIFF ENDURE appears to take a smarter approach to the sports drink and offers a product made of more desirable ingredients and a surprisingly better taste. I was surprised with quality and taste of this drink.WHAT IT IS AND WHAT IS IN ITKILL CLIFF ENDURE is not a recovery drink; it is designed for use before and during activity to sustain hydration and energy levels. The key ingredients for achieving the desired results are the 470mg of potassium (electrolytes) and Palatinose (derived from sugar beets, it is low glycemic and a slow-release carb). The slow release factor is key to sustain the carb energy (in the form of glucose) for a longer period of time and oxidizes fat. There are no artificial sweeteners, colors or flavors. A 20oz. bottle is a single serving and it has 110 calories.HOW IT FARESMy workouts center on heavy lifting, so this drink is missing the BCAAs I seek in a workout drink (or the caffeine I would want in a designated pre-workout drink). With that being said, I believe this particular drink is well-rounded and suitable for any/all athletic activities. While I wouldn’t use this by itself as a go-to for my powerlifting training (unless I added BCAAs to it), I most definitely would use it the day of a powerlifting meet because of the slow release carb benefit. It’s perfect for long-haul activity and doesn’t generate the quick energy spike (and subsequent crash) that so many sugar-based energy/endurance drinks offer. This is a big deal to me.It also has a more “mature” taste to it … it tastes great, but without the sickly candy-like flavoring we are accustomed to with most sports drinks. My 11 year old daughter is a competitive gymnast who always brings a bottle of Gatorade to practices (4 hour practices, 4 days a week). I swapped her Gatorade with the KILL CLIFF and she immediately noticed the differences in both taste and performance. The syrupy and sweet Gatorade had to be cut down with water, but the KILL CLIFF worked extremely well straight. It was much lighter with a less sugary and more natural, subtle flavoring (Blood Orange). One thing she noticed was that she can chug KILL CLIFF without it impeding her practice, whereas Gatorade (even when cut with water) had to be sipped to avoid feeling bloated. Additionally, KILL CLIFF keeps the energy output even … NO SPIKES.This is a more serious endurance drink than a lot of the garbage on the market today. Most sports drink companies seem to focus on flavor and gimmicks … KILL CLIFF takes a no-nonsense approach to the issue of hydration/endurance and offers a high quality product that works well and tastes remarkably good.

Chemical taste.
I know sports drinks aren’t known for their delicious taste but, this one is really not good. It’s so bad that none of my three children, whom are all competitive gymnasts, would drink it. Everyone opted for water instead which is unusual if given a choice. They all, on separate occasions, described it as having a chemical taste. There are definitely better tasting options out there.

Nearly as much sugar as a can of Coca Cola!
I try to keep active because I know when my body is moving, either at the gym or pounding the pavement, my mind clears and my whole self feels better. Obviously, you want to take care to properly hydrate because fainting sucks.I chose the Kill Cliff Endure Sports Endurance drink because it's fun to try all these health shakes and pills and drinks through Vine to see which ones to buy again (and if I like the product, I DO actually buy them again, like with the AdvantEdge chocolate shakes).CLARIFICATION: AdvantEdge shakes ARE NOT a direct comparison to Kill Cliff Endure Sports Drink. They were brought up as an example of a product I've tried through Vine and continue to purchase afterwards. AdvantEdge shakes are a post work-out/meal replacement; Kill Cliff is supposed to be a hydration product, like Powerade/Gatorade.I've had about three bottles pf Kill Cliff Endure at this point, and two people (my sister and my dad have tried them as well. I'll give all our opinions and you can decide from us what you think. The first thing I absolutely must mention is that this product has a whopping 24g of sugar in it - nearly as much as some candy bars and only a gram less than a 7.5oz can of Coca Cola! I can somewhat understand why there are 110 calories and 27g of carbs, but why do I need 24g of sugar? (This sugar may not be "added" like in a Coca Cola, but it's still a startling amount of sugar in a product.)The first time I had one, the acid in the drink gave me instant heart burn and it made for a rather miserable hydration during my exercise routine. I was stunned that a drink with such a weak, tart berry flavor had a massive amount of sugar in i. My sister, who joined me at the gym with her own, hated it - too acidic, weak berry flavor, in general didn't like it. In the back of my mind, I wondered if maybe I should have a cold drink instead of room temperature, but as I had a case to test with, I figured I would try refrigerated next time. The second time, I roped my dad in. He didn't pick up on the acidic taste, but then he lost his smell and sense of taste. He thought it was OK and wouldn't be opposed to buying again in the future for the right price. I found this time the drink was less acidic and more sweet, though it was still lukewarm for me.The third time, I did try it in the fridge and yeah - still didn't improve the taste and texture. This time, I felt it went back to being as acidic as the first time I tried it, with the slightly sweet taste I had detected with my dad goneNone of the times I've tried the drink have I been able to finish an entire bottle. I think I have drunk 3 myself (I finished my sister's bottle, as she drank only a couple of sips) with my dad having a full one, and those three were spread over at least 6 exercise sessions. In conclusion:My sister thought it was vile and wouldn't drink it again. My dad thought it was decent and wouldn't be opposed to drinking/buying it himself.I thought it was meh and had too much sugar but with too little actual sweetness in the drink itself to justify becoming a regular purchase.UPDATE 02/21/2018: My running partner tried one and found it decent. Nothing extraordinary, nothing horrible. I have since finished these and at the end, again, they weren't terrible, but I won't be buying anymore of these.
