Great for Android
Works great. Paired with my Android no problem, works with the Torque app. Great value, especially considering how expensive some of the wired OBD readers are. The size also makes it extremely portable.

Great customer service. Device works well.
Tried to use with Dr.Prius app which did not see device. Documentation is a bit sparse, and is a bit unclear on pairing process. I assumed I needed to pair through my Android Bluetooth service. Dr.Prius app would not connect throwing a not-helpful error message. Sent support@acepanlong.com, which got back to me within a day!Do not pair the device, simply open with Dr.Prius (or other similar app). If you need to pair, code=1234.

Great device for price
Works surprisingly well considering its low cost. I installed this in a 2006 Jeep Liberty and it paired immediately with my Droid Turbo with no issues. (If prompted to enter a pin when pairing with your device, use "1234"). It does appear to be powered constantly, but is not a drain on the battery. When starting the vehicle, it flashes several multicolored LEDs to show that it is powering up and pairing. It is a little sluggish at times, taking a few minutes to start up and pair with your device sometimes, and every now and then did not pair at all for the duration of my commute. So if you are looking for rock-solid consistency this might not be the device for you. Depending on the app you use, the device can be used to read all manner of info about your vehicle such as engine temperature, RPMs, figure out your miles per gallon, but I got it primarily to be able to read "Check Engine" codes, which it does perfectly. Item description says it is compatible with Torque Pro but I was able to use it with an app called Dash with no problems. I've only used it for about a month so I cannot attest to its longevity. My likely plan is to store it in my glovebox but hook it up and connect with my app when I get a "Check Engine" light or otherwise need to use it for a specific purpose.

Far better than I was expecting in build quality
So far it's working great and gave me access to stuff I couldn't get to with a bare bones OBD2 scanner. I used the paid versions of the OBD Fusion app and was able to clear a throttle position and can bus code for the transmission that a bare bones scanner couldn't clear on my Infiniti 2011 G37x

Good Product
Worked as advertised and connected, via BlueTooth, to my Android phone with no problem.Used it with an app called Car Scanner ELM OBD2 ( Car Scanner LLC ) and it worked as needed to scan for trouble codes on my car.

Piece of junk
Ok… a few years ago, I purchased one of these dongles prior to a road trip; I wanted to know things which my car was not sharing. Oil pressure, cylinder head temperature, coolant temperature… as this would be the first long trip taken in this vehicle, I wanted a heads up before there was an issue. The previous version was only for use with andriod products, so I also purchased a Fire tablet and an app called 'Torque' which allows for a multitude of dials and gauges and, when attached to my dashboard with Velcro, I had all the real time displays I desired for this first long distance drive. After the trip I removed the tablet from my car and cleaned the sticky stuff from my dashboard, and gave the tablet away to a friend who had use for one.A couple of weeks ago I trouble light appeared on my car's display, but my iPhone could not communicate with the old dongle, so I purchased this ‘upgraded' version to read the trouble code. Using the recommended software app, the device would continually disconnect from my iPhone, so I tried a few other OBD2 apps, and was always disappointed with one thing or another in the functionality of this device.I recommend purchasing something of a higher quality, which I shall be doing after the return and refund are processed.I guess this would be just another case of getting what you pay for, in and of the low cost; however, this time I received less than I paid for, and a whole lot of wasted time, and frustration, for which I shall never be compensated.I will be purchasing a real handheld unit, rather than one which uses an app to WIFI or Bluetooth to communicate. If ever again I want more gauges displayed, I will put out more money to get one which will actually function well.In short, if you like wasting money, go ahead.

Cost effective and user friendly app
I have been using this OBD II for couple of months now. Firstly it's not expensive and it helps on basic checks. Most important is the code check and emission test. The app is free with all basic tests and has a pro version for $4 for entire year which automatically tells you that various values such as O2 sensor is pass or not for current data. But the basic version also runs the tests and shoes the error codes. You can also reset the engine light when you have resolved the issue. It's really helpful, before going to mechanic or buying an old car, running this gives confidence and helps identifying scams. It has been really helpful for me and I did some basic tasks myself.Though, I couldn't find the transmission circuit test feature in it for my Jeep patriot. Either it's not supported by the car or the device am not sure about it.Other than that, a great and affordable tool. Would say a must have if you have a car.
