Excellent very long endpin anchor strap for seated playing

I use this strap while playing double bass seated on a stool. My endpin has a removable crutch-tip that works great while standing, but slips when seated and playing on a typical wooden stage.I was concerned about using the strap with with the crutch-tip installed due to the v-notch design of the endplate, but I've used it for several weeks now with 100% success without removing the crutch-tip. I like to alternate between standing and sitting, so keeping the tip in place is a benefit. My only complaint is the strap is too long. I use a 3/4 size bass and I'm over 6 feet tall. I have the strap adjusted to almost the shortest length and I still have to hook it to the back leg of my stool. I wish it was more adjustable so I could hook it to the front leg of my stool. Even so, I plan to keep using it. Maybe someday, I'll shorten the strap which will require some sewing.

A handy gizmo to have in the bass bag.

I've had no complaints with the Xeros. Bought this one to replace one I lost.To be honest, my first choice will always be to stick the (spiked) endpin of my bass into a wooden stage. That anchors the instrument very well and I think it enhances the sound. But spiking into the stage isn't an option everywhere, and if it isn't possible in your venue the Xeros is the next best thing.Looks like a well-made product. The fabrication, stitching etc. appear to be well done.I also like that the Xeros is lightweight and doesn't take up a lot of space in the gig bag. We bass players have enough stuff to haul around as it is.I prefer the V shaped foot on this version to the round "cup" you see on the cello version. It's easier to locate with the endpin on a bass. The strap is fairly long, but better too long than too short. If strap length is a problem just put the ring under the rearmost leg of your stool.

For the stand up Bass

My kid plays the bass and this works like a charm. Keeps the big instrument from slipping which if you know the bass is a BIG problem. Even her teacher was sold and had to order one for himself.

Does the job well

The only thing I would change is to add a connection hook or something for hooking it to a bench, as the oval doesn’t let the bench sit flat (not a problem if using a stool) but we just tie it around middle of bench and it works great.

Gotta have one in your bag!

Ya never know when you wont be able to "plug in" with the spike- nice floors that you don't want to damage, tile, what ever. The rubber foot that covers the spike on my endpin leaves marks on some floors too, and it slips on others. That's when you need one of these rascals! I have heard some folks complain that they feel it is difficult to find the little chevron with their endpin- just a little practice and it's no problem at all imho.I highly recommend this product!

Great for larger bass endpins

Many market the cello product as cello or bass; this is different. My bass endpin is thick, and I was not convinced it would remain in the circular holding design found in the cello product. This one uses a high V shape instead, and it's not coming loose at all. Perfect!Though some fault the cello product for being too short, this one is on the edge of being too long for me. If I put the ring under the foremost stool leg, the endpin holder is too far away. I need to turn the stool or put the strap under a rear leg. I am 6' 2" and play with the endpin pretty far out.
