Cost-effective reader
I bought one of these on the basis that if it didn't work very well then I hadn't wasted a lot of money. However, not only is the first one working, but so are the next two I bought to complete my application. There isn't a specific driver on Ubuntu, but the generic HID driver works perfectly using events. For the cost of three readers and a Raspberry pi, I have a complete arrival/departure logging system for less than £100.

A good product
Quickly despatched and does exactly what is expected/required. Easy plug and play setup as windows installed the driver effortlessly itself. It wasn't reading the RF codes correctly at first but the supplied software although basic has 11 different modes. I ticked "8 no Hex" mode and the codes read correct. My original Mifare card reader cost over £100 and was not as simple as this to use plus my original was a pain to setup with unsigned drivers. This product was an economical easy fix for my problem.
