THE MOST LEGENDARY COMEBACK - EVER!
If you thought Petula Clark died with the '60s, think again! With this new album, the 80-year-old "Downtown" hitmaker has relaunched herself into pop perfection. I know it's only April, but I'm already geared up to call this album one of the finest of the year.Every track is flawless - even the covers! When I saw Petula had recorded Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" I was skeptical, but she totally nailed it. The new "Downtown" rendition is also a highlight, as are throwbacks like John Lennon's "Imagine" and Elvis' "Love Me Tender"But the real highlights are, of course, the brand new tracks. "Cut Copy Me" is absolutely gorgeous. It's a mix of elegance, beauty, sexiness, and is shockingly catchy. It's worth buying the CD for that one alone, but the title song "Lost In You" is another gem that you'll want to listen to over and over."Next to You," "Never Enough" and "Every Word You Say" are likewise flawless. The productions are so modern and yet so songbook that they're impossible not to love. The only toss-out number goes to "He Loves and She Loves" which was a low point, in my opinion. But I can handle 1 dud when there are 11 killer songs.OVERALL: Petula delivers the biggest shocker in music history! I'm too young to remember her glory years, but her classics have lived on and touched my life as they have so many others. Whether you're a long-time fan or simply want an album that is both pop and beautiful, you MUST GET "Lost In You." Honestly, it may be the best album of Petula Clark's career.

Intriguing!
By now you'd think Petula Clark would be a little old lady reminiscing about her fabulous career. But it is obvious with his new C.D. she isn't anywhere near being a little old lady and her career is still fabulous thank you very much. "Lost In You" is an utterly contemporary foray into exciting, provocative, sleek, sophisticated, cool music that has very little to do with anything she's recorded before. Even though it includes her umpteenth remake of "Downtown" which, in this case, offers a totally new take on the song. The music here, the stories the songs tell, the orchestrations, the production and the overall aura are, putting it mildly, sophisticated and would be equally appealing to a listener 17 years old and a listener 77 years old. That's because everything on this album is universal and timeless and yet oddly unfamiliar, even the songs you've known for a long time. It's sort of like out of a musical Twilight Zone. Don't miss the opportunity to have this remarkable achievement; you will listen to it over and over and over again.

Fresh as 1965!
Petula clark turned 80 his past November but this Cd is not a collection for shady pines. Petula has picked a wide variety of songs opening with the indie edgy "Cut Copy Me" to a new version of "Downtown" that is far from just a rehash update. Petula is also a great writer and you find a copy self penned gems included with this set as well. Granted, I am a fan from way back and have seen this woman in recent years still deliver a fresh current show that made me first affair with Music ("Downtown") would last a life time!

Call Me Crazy
Petula Clark's new CD is a sweet effort from this classic singer. One track has me reaching for the repeat button. Petula takes Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" and stirs it into an addictive midtempo track. It's different from Barkley, but it certainly caught my ear. The rest of the CD does not stand up and grab you by the collar, but it's a decent set. "Lost In You" has a lovely stately feel, "You're here & I am whole." "Never Enough" is a strong pop nugget, "There's one thing I am sure of, I'll never see enough of you." "Next to You" has a haunting melody with Pet's voice in the echo chamber. "Every Word You Say" has a haunting melody with Beth Porter's cello deepening the sound. I thoroughly enjoy Petula's Elvis Presley cover of "Love Me Tender" & her reverent take on John Lennon's "Imagine." Perhaps a few more songs with a stronger beat might have better showcased the ballads. But, call me Crazy, I like it. Enjoy!

New music and well done!
I have been a fan of Ms. Clark's for many years, since the "Downtown" hit the U. S. along with the British Invasion. I have almost 50 of her CDs and a number of her movies. All that said, I have been less than thrilled in recent years at the amount of her work being released that is simply a re-packaging of older works, with maybe 1 or 2 new songs added to entice the buyer. I was delighted when I got this album. It's all music new to Clark, (with the exception of "Downtown", which has a totally new arrangement). Some of the selections are pop music classics but new to Ms. Clark who does nice things with. The album includes 3 songs that Ms. Clark co-wrote. I am especially fond of "I Won't Care". Petula is in good voice here, with good musicians and good arrangements. I think it's an absolute must for the fans and will please a great many people who don't consider themselves fans as well. Highly recommended.

Petula's Finest
"Lost in You" is Petula Clark's finest studio album I've ever heard. I have a number of her albums including the original one that contained "Downtown" and a compilation by an old husband or manager or someone called "Treasures, Vol. 1" which was an outstanding compilation, but this is the best studio album I've heard by her, and except for two great covers that belong here an unusual gershwin tune and a new version of "Downtown" all the rest of the 12 songs are original, a lot with Petula doing some of the writing, one featuring music that sounds a lot like Angelo Badalamenti. Petula is in her eighties, and it is always amazing how people with talent can sing well, and can know and even write their own music today when we need her more than ever to do something like this amazing feat.

CREATIVE IN HER EIGHTIES. INSPIRING!
A woman in her 80's who still sound good, still makes albums, writes new material and plays a bit. Funnily enough, I don't think Petula will be twerking on stage. She never would have, because she has class.

Better than you would ever imagine!
Very impressed with this album. At least four of the songs are very fresh and could easily be mistaken as being sung by a much younger singer. Massive praise is due to Petula Clark - she has done a wonderful job to create such a great album at this stage of her career. I have many of Petula Clark's albums - this one is now my favourite!

Still fantastic
I first heard my grandfathers Pet Clark Vinyl albums 20 years ago and was hooked,Pet's version of the beautiful Crazy as performed on Hootanany was the reason for my purchase, but there are 6 other tracks which stand out here, apart from the miserableness of the Godawful Imagine there's not a bad trackbuy it!

a brilliant album
Petula Clark shows why she has been around so long! Every song is different, mostly uptempo, but all melodic. Her version of Gnarls Barclay's "Crazy" is superb and anyone who knows "Downtown" should appreciate this slower, thoughtful rendition. A great album with no "filler" tracks from a great performer, who is STILL at the top of her game.
