Exactly the right fastener to replace some broken ones in a furniture shipment. These cams are a convenient, very fast way to assemble furniture kits and the cam end is usually the stronger one; the pin itself is screwed into whatever wood surface is being joined. The weak part of this fastening system is the wood material and the pins can work loose or strip out of the wood over time.That said, these cams are a perfect replacement for the originals that came with our teak Danish Modern furniture.Several reviewers had difficulty tightening these and had them break. While they are indeed a soft pot metal, these are plenty hardy enough to do the job. This type of fastener is designed to only need a 3/4 turn or less to engage the pin top and snug it down. The pins are stronger than the cams so extreme turning torque will bend the cams. The beauty of the cam fastener is that completely tightening them should be easy with no excessive turning torque needed.

I just moved across states and found that while our movers did a pretty good job of packing and securing items, there were some thing did get damaged in transit. It was probably too much to hope for a houseful of things arriving all unscathed. In any case, I had desk that relied on these cams to keep it secure. All 4 had managed to break in transit. Since the material was particle board and likely not to be easily secured with nails or screws, I thought I would try some replacement cams. I measured the broken pieces as closely as I could and found that these were very close to the size needed (take care measuring, I noticed that my ikea furniture had different sized connecting cams). When these arrived, I dropped them in and used the old connector screws and they worked just great. Desk seems as stable (if not more stable) then ever, and I have a few extra connecting cams if I ever need to move again (never).

I bought these to replace the crappy plastic ones IKEA gives you with their BESTA line of cabinets. Those plastic ones are garbage and I was shocked IKEA would have such sturdy acceptable quality items generally (I have plenty of IKEA furniture) and yet they would cheap out on such a seemingly integral component that can’t possibly be saving them that much money. Anyway, I bought these to replace the plastic ones and they technically work fine but they insert into the wood further than I expected. The ones provided by IKEA are flush with the wood once installed whereas these metal ones sit deeper in the hole and are not flush. Regardless, they seem to hold the pieces together fine and this has resolved this IKEA quality issue. So, would I recommend these? Yeah.

These fit perfectly. I noticed that they weren't quite as strong as some cams I've used, but when I broke some of the ones that came with my original package, these were a must to have! I didn't use all of them, and I have opened this bag a few times for a new thing I'm assembling. (and screwed up)

My writing desk has a base assembled using these types of fasteners. When the movers finished the move, a few of them came out and were gone. These replacements are actually better than the originals. They have teeth on the edge which allows them to be tightened better than what came with the desk. I ended up replacing some of the other originals. My desk is solid once again.

After breaking several of the plastic ones provided with our IKEA bed frame we looked into getting more. It was less hassle buying them from Amazon than dealing with customer service at IKEA not to mention delivered more quickly. The size on these was stated a bit larger than the ones that came with our furniture, but they fit just perfectly. Would recommend to anyone building IKEA or other prefab furniture just to have on hand so that building your furniture doesn't get delayed.

Not as sturdy as other ones. These are made of very soft metal. Over tightening with even a hand held screwdriver would bend them.These will work if you’re missing 1 or 2 when putting together furniture. If you are putting together a whole furniture set with these, it will inevitably fall apart.

Appears to be a good item BUT (read on if a Google search got you here) this does NOT work as a replacement for Ikea 103114 which is what I purchased it for. It's too big.

組み立て式の棚に付属のカムロックを破損してしまい、家具メーカーでもカムロックは補修部品として販売していないので購入しました。モノ自体は商品付属のものよりしっかりしていました。

引っ越しの際になくしてしまい、探していました。ホームセンターでも扱っておらず、途方にくれていたのですが、Amazonでみつけ購入しました。助かりました。使用にあたり当然問題はなく、使えています。

助かった！でもそれ程仕様頻度は多くないため、余ってしまう。

30年ほど前に買った海外通販家具のカムロックねじがなくなって、開閉天板固定がゆるくなっていました。これで一発解消です。
