After using the brush only a few times the bristles are splayed, I'm quite disappointed with the quality, for the price I expected better I therefore cannot recommend buying this item.

better than boar bristle? Maybe...
Have had this a few years and I really like it. Yes, bristles fray, that happens, but it doesn't affect the functionality of the brush. I've yet to find another non-boar bristle brush that's as good as this.
