Traditionally used since the Middle Ages as a food oil, camelina sativa or German sesame oil is now being discovered as a powerful skincare oil that may help the skin in regenerating skin cells. Camelina sativa is unusually high in Omega 3 and Omega 6 as well as antioxidant Vitamin E which make it a powerful anti ageing product - internally as well as externally. The oil is extremely stable and has a characteristic "green" aroma. In haircare Camelina sativa coats the hair follicles thereby protecting hair from external influences such as heat and chemicals.
