Carbosticks, Carbon Fiber Drumsticks, 5ACTW, Medium Weight, White, Rock

I liked them when they werent broken. I use these to play faatete in a tahitian drum group here in socal. But during one of our sets these sticks couldnt handle the Mana put into it and the tip broke off right at its thinnest point. I will upload a picture when I find them but this is a past due review. These are fairly cheap and they are stronger than standard wooden stocks but dont expect them to be indestructible.

I'm new to drumming so take this for what it's worth. I have enjoyed using these sticks and have ordered a second pair. They feel VERY solid and I don't see them breaking or fraying anytime soon. Good price too.

I hit very hard and break expensive wooden sticks like crazy. These Carbosticks saved me and my wallet. They are basically the same price as a pair of Vic Firths or Pro Marks...maybe even cheaper...but they last 10 times longer...or more! I've been using the same pair for months and they show no signs of wear. A while back I did have a problem with some of the tips breaking off, but I switched to a smaller tip and now, no problem. They are amazing! The composite sticks I've used in the past were junk. They didn't even come close to the feel, sound or rebound of wood sticks. These Carbos have a great sound and rebound action off the heads and make great rim shots (without chipping the drumstick). I used to wrap my sticks with expensive tennis racket grip tape. No need with these sticks. They don't get all slippery with sweaty hands...they stay nice and dry and very easy to hold. I suggest that anyone interested in these sticks buy several sizes and tip designs to see which ones feel best for you and your style of drumming.
