Carmina Burana (Vocal Score): Cantiones Profanae Sheet music – 1 Nov. 1991

This is a much better version of the score for Carmina Burana than the one I used for a previous performance. The new copy is far easier to sing from. The music is spaced in a more conventional way and the staves and notes are well printed. The words in my old score were printed in a strange form of italics and because the text is sometimes in Latin and other times a form of Old German, it was difficult to read. It was confusing and detracted from the enjoyment of singing much of the work. This new score makes the music and words much easier to read, and thus enhances the whole experience of singing this joyful (and sometimes raunchy)work. It would have been even better if a translation of the words could have been added, though these are easily available on the internet.

This is a much improved score. Clear printing, not the thin italic style of my previous edition on good quality white paper making it easier to read and also better spaced. This gives it more pages so beware if you are being told to start from the page in an old score, they're not the same. Excellent service from Amazon as always
