I was surprised that I received two personal alarms. I was only expecting one. They are identical except in color - one blue and one black.I have been wanting to get one of these because I have a long walk to my car after work in the city. I am going to give the second one to my daughter who is in middle school.This came in a plain white box with a sheet of very easy English instructions and warnings to not expose hearing to sound for an extended period of time. Basic instructions - To activate the alarm you pull out the contact pin. To silence the alarm you reinsert the contact pin into the device.I like that it has a built in flash light and key ring to attach to your keys or purse to keep it easy to find if ever needed. You can replace the batteries as needed.

I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone. The sound is VERY loud and piercing. Its great that it comes in a 2 pack. I put one my keys, the other on my dogs leash. This is a great alarm to have. I am very happy with this purchase. Perfect for elders also.

first you could barely hear them.. one went off in my purse and I didn't hear it until I moved my wallet to pay for something... then it was just a small sound....It would have done nothing for me if I was on the trails

Got this for a friend who lives in a questionable part of town. Loud just hope it's useful if and when it counts.

My daughter suffers from social anxiety and fear of the dark that is paralyzing....she feels much safer now that she knows with the simple pull of a cord she can be heard.

Received this item today. One worked one didn’t. I could not get the screw out to replace the battery, if that is even the problem, and it would cost more to send it back than it’s worth. Again, you get what you pay for.
