This is a great idea to stop pests from nesting under the panels. Thankfully, my solar panels are easy to get to on the garage roof. I have 16 panels across each side of the roof 8 each and in two rows of four.The kit comes with 24 strips of excluders and you are going to require 3 for the shorter bottom edge of each panel. That means I can do the bottom of both sides of the roof but for the edges ... the typical length of a panel would require 6 additional excluders. So, doing the math, I would require another 48 excluders to full cover both roofs and a single end and an additional 24 to cover the top part of the panel.That is a fair amount extra but it is possible to purchase a larger bulk pack where the price is reduced about £1 a metre. Something worth considering.Please also keep in mind, this is not a five minute job fixing them. Because of the contours of the tiles, these must be cut (with the included snips) to match the shape of the roof. Then use the sealant to finally fix the excluder.Yes, there is a fair bit of work involved in installation but this was obvious prior to receiving these and it does not detract from awarding a decent rating. As the idea is sound and the last thing I would want is a rat chewing through the cables.My only concern (and this is not a criticism), is nowhere does it mention these excluders are UV protected. If they are not they will break easily and even one small gap is enough for the rodents to enter which defeats the whole purpose.

When getting solar panels installed, you want them to last as long as possible with minimal upkeep or maintenance, so something like this is great to add, even just as a precaution.It's easy enough to install and doesn't leave gaps big enough for larger birds to start nesting, which should hopefully translate to less damage and upkeep of your solar panels in the long run.You get 8 meters in total, but there's also the option of 50 meters should you need more, with each strip measuring 333mm by 160mm.It also comes with cutters and a silicone tube, so you've got pretty much everything you need out of the box.All in all, it's worth adding as a precaution or detterent if you already have a problem.

These spikes are excellent and easy to install.Just hope they stay where I've put them due to the cold weather. But they're looking good and looking like they'll do the job perfectly.At least now I want have to listen to the birds trotting about on my roof.

We had birds building nests under our panels, it was easy to install and secure, once I installed this they are gone lol now confident they will head for the neighbours when they r looking for a new home lol great product for the price and nasty problem!
