Great book
I liked the print size in this book! It’s a great read and quite interesting (sad but empowering) for what’s coming in this world. History tends to repeat itself. 😑

I’m a different person after having read this book
There are times in our lives when we come across a person, song or book that changes the way we see the world. This is one of those singular books that will change the way you see the world and the people in it.True, the book contains very VERY difficult material but the stories of lives of the martyrs courage in the face of such persecution is inspiring and deeply thought provoking. This book WILL, if you let it, change your life.

Interesting
Interesting book but I only read a little at a time. Need to digest this one. It does make a person think about how Christian’s we’re persecuted.

Clear, Readable Edition of an Important Work
The book speaks for itself. It is a simple, readable account of the many martyrs for the faith up to the author's time. Fox was a man converted from Catholicism to Protestantism, and expelled from Oxford because of it. His last edition was some 2000 pages long and very famous in this time. In 1900 or so, it was abridged and the language was modernized by WB Forbush, which, with few changes is this edition. The font is clear and readable and large for this edition. The short biography at the front is very helpful. I highly recommend this edition. As the writer of Hebrews wrote (probably referring to Paul's and Peter's martyrdom), "Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" Heb 13:7-8 NIV. Our leaders exemplify our Lord's sacrifice for us. They pass on, but he always remains for us to trust in.

Real church history.
If you're a bible believing Christian, and you haven't read Foxes book of Martyrs, buy a copy and read it now. You will begin to understand the scripture that says, " They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him.." The man of sin and his church fulfill this in slaughtering innocent Christians and Jews(including old people, women, and children) or anyone who refuses the wafer god, deny the authority of the Pope, or preach justification by faith in Jesus Christ alone. You should also obtain "Tortured for Christ" by Richard Wurmbrand. Find "The Two Babylons" by Hislop, and "50 years in the church of rome" by Father Chiniquy.

Powerful book that helps strengthen your conviction in the faith
A must read for every believer to understand the heights of suffering our predecessors had to go through for standing for the precious faith we have today. This edition of Foxe's Book of Martyrs one of the best modern ones out there that does not compromise on content from the original text. The book is of good quality and totally worth the money.

Non-Fiction
I only bought this book as a reference, as I'm reading for a History Degree. I'm finding it somewhat boring, and am only glad I'm not a Roman Catholic, else I'd be having nightmares over some of the text.
