Made for Amazon Battery Base for Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen, 2023 release)

UPDATE DECEMBER 9, 2024I sent an email to them letting them know the issues with the battery pack not holding a charge. After very he’ wonderful professionalism, we could not troubleshoot the problem and I have a brand new replacement on the way. I knew it was faulty after the troubleshooting and the lack of charge. But thank you again for such great customer service, after such great service, is recommend this company and their products to my family and friends any day!It’s really cool and the bass and audio is way better than I expected. The magnetic base holds firm to the echo show 8 (charging base only for echo show 8 3rd generation devices). The bottom has a non slip rubber pad that is true to its name, it does not slide on any stance thus far. The reason for a four star rating is because the unit itself does not have a charging capability. You must have the echo show 8 device and the echo show 8 charges the charging base. The charging base comes with the short cable to attach the echo show 8 to the charging base. If the charging base had a charger itself, I’d give it a better rating. As for the charging base performance itself, 100% perfection so far. Will update if things change.UPDATE!!! So after less than a month, this battery inside this unit will not hold a charge. I’m not sure I’d recommend this device after such a short use. I think it should be used as a second base when not plugged in to power. Keeping the unit plugged in 24/7 has destroyed the battery. Hoping the company will reach out and offer to replace the unit. Might just be a faulty unit. But that’s unlikely so this will be the new update. lol will update it anything changes.

The positive is that it makes the Echo portable. I love that! One negative: the Show8 has no capacity to keep a charge so whenever you want to plug into the bass, the Show8 turns off and reboots when plugged in again. No biggie. Not a deal breaker. The magnetic catch is perfect and strong.

Assuming you pay attending to which port is for the power adapter and for the jumper cable I don’t think you will have a problem. Mine seams to be working well. I’ve charged it, ran it dead and charged it again without issue. Runs my show 8 for about 4ish hours as advertised. Quality seams good enough. Looks good attached the the show 8. Installation is simple and it fits the show 8 well. It’s not a fantastic value but it’s also not overpriced.

I thought no one woukd contact me about a replacement. So im coming back to write another review. Still does not work unless plugged in. Terrible Product and even worse support! Still no response from the company. SadDo not buy this product. The battery does not hold a charge. I have used it for less than three months now and it continues to drop the charge. I hope that they’ll step up to the plate and read these reviews and replace it for me because this is a terrible terrible product. Do not buy this Buyer. Beware.

Works as expected. Love being able to move my alexa anywhere

Worked when I first tried it. Then 2 months later, like many I see, it did not work. It had 1 blue dot...but it had no charge. I was livid. But I tried pushing the power button. The blue light flashed. And a day later, it had all the blue lights on and it worked. So! Watch out for it being disabled...probably by some random power outage that I forgot about. I give it 4 stars for that vs. the previous 2. I'd give it 5 if it just worked without me paying attention.

Fits perfect and keeps echo charged size it’s practically awesome fits perfectly not extremely bulky

I am not really happy with this product. It does not hold about four hours of battery life take my word on that if I’ve known that would have returned it very unhappy customer.
