Human intervention at minimum
I have a Persian cat and because of the hair and tears it leaves on the light floor, vacuuming and washing is a frequent operation.I had a robot vacuum cleaner with a fixed mop (Q7 max) for two years but without a base for emptying or washing the mop, so many manual operations. It vacuumed well but the washing was not efficient.So I was saving up to buy a fully automated robot for vacuuming and washing floors. With other brands you need 1000-1500 dollars and I was waiting for some offers. But then I discovered this robot with a separate washing base and a roller for washing, which in my opinion is the most hygienic system. I am sure that we will see more and more robots with a roller instead of vibrating or rotating cloths. It seemed brilliant and complete to me! And in addition the price today is very reasonable compared to the launch price!It does not lack any really important feature to do a complete and totally automated cleaning, reducing human intervention to the minimum possible nowadays.I have to say that I found some negative reviews on the web but they seemed exaggeratedly negative to me and I suspect that they come from those who want to boycott the brand, which is not very well known in this field. Furthermore, many of the problems they report can be solved if you read the manual and configure it well. Furthermore, you need to clean it every now and then, you can't pretend to never touch it.My experience has been excellent. Of course, the first thing I did was update all the firmware before starting to use it, and I must say that I have not found any important shortcomings or defects.It recognizes objects and does not block due to some cable or object forgotten on the floor, it empties itself, refills the water, drains it, cleans the roller and dries it all by itself. For me this is all I need. And with the separate base and directly connected to the house's water system, no bad smells. Furthermore, I find that the suction is very quiet, at least compared to my previous robot.As of today, excellent quality/price. I am fully satisfied. I would not have had better even spending more with other brands. My wife and my cat thank you.

Defective Product and Abysmal Customer Service
Review:I purchased the SwitchBot S10 Vacuum and Mop on May 25, 2024, through Amazon, expecting a cutting-edge smart home device. Unfortunately, this has turned out to be one of the worst experiences I’ve had with any product.Initially, the S10 functioned as expected, but over time, its performance degraded rapidly. Major issues included:- Degraded object detection, causing collisions and even toppling furniture.- Persistent errors and random stoppages, making the device unreliable.- Frequent failures in refilling from the water station.- Inability to refill the SwitchBot humidifier consistently.- Daily new malfunctions that rendered the product completely unusable.I initiated my first warranty claim in September 2024. Since then, I’ve encountered repeated delays, unprofessional communication, and what can only be described as negligence from SwitchBot’s customer service team.Customer Service Issues:The representative assigned to my case, Carmen, has been particularly unhelpful. After an initial period of engagement, Carmen went silent for two weeks and later responded on Christmas Day with an unacceptable proposal to return the defective unit for repairs. Despite my patience and willingness to cooperate earlier, the prolonged delays and poor handling have made it clear that this process is unacceptable.I escalated the matter to Carmen’s supervisor, Betty, who acknowledged the mishandling but failed to resolve the issue satisfactorily. Instead of taking meaningful action, I was met with more obstacles and conditions for a replacement, despite the device being under warranty.Legal and Escalation Efforts:Due to the continued delays and failure to honor the warranty, I have taken the following actions:- Filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) regarding the mishandling of my case.- Filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (Report Number: 181758173).- Begun preparations to escalate the matter to the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act.If SwitchBot and its representatives continue to delay, I intend to pursue a case in small claims court to ensure accountability for their actions.Final Thoughts:The product itself is riddled with defects, and the customer service is abysmal. Representatives like Carmen and supervisors like Betty have failed to uphold the basic principles of customer service and warranty obligations. SwitchBot’s behavior is not only unprofessional but also indicative of deeper systemic issues.I cannot recommend this product or company to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and invest in a reliable brand that values its customers and stands behind its products.

STAY AWAY!
The media could not be loaded. 4/28/25 UPDATE:After going back and forth with their advanced product support team they were able to send me a new waste water tank and also offer me compensation in the form of a partial refund. Since I have received the waste water tank I have had only one issue with spots being left on the floor and that was when I first ran it. It's been about 2 m-3 weeks and has been working flawlessly in regards to that issue. I do notice that it appears to be more sensitive to smaller objects being left on the floor than previously and in comparison to other smart vacuums that I have used but overall I am MUCH happier with the service of this smart vacuum and happy that their customer service department wanted to make sure they got things right.Do not purchase. It was basically DOA. It was leaking water when refilling at the water station but I went through the motions of following the support pages to fix . And it did reduce but mainly when I just didn't use it. Then it started leaving dark black spots all around my house. I contacted support and they said they were escalating my problem to engineering. It's been over a week and I have had no follow up. Not to mention the price of the device has dropped nearly 50% since my purchase and the reviews have all gone down. And reviews have all also dropped. Stay away.
