Beans came fast, they appear good quality. I just opened them and they are moist and more seeds inside then my brand name green mountain beans. However there is a strange chemical odor. So i sniffed my brand name beans and there is the same odor but very faint. So i dont know if this is from processing or something else? I am making vanilla extract fr9m half the beans so that will take a week, i will have to use 1 of these beans in something fresh so i can compare.Update: I used the beans they are very fresh with a good flavor, made good vanilla icecream. I researched the smell, it is appearantly from vacuum packing them. They develop a phenol type of smell. The article said to take them out of the plastic and wrap them in wax paper and then in a little cardboard box. However they will dry out in a few months. I figure I can leave them in wax paper for a few weeks until the phenols evaporate them put back in an airtight container maybe.

I bought these beans because they were cheap, had good reviews, and to make my cart full enough for free shipping, haha. I love baking and have been curious about buying them online for some time because it's so much cheaper, but I've been too wary of it. However, these beans were moist and plump, and better than anything I've ever bought at a grocery store! I used two beans in a large cookie recipe and quickly realized that, while the cookies were super-vanilla and delicious, I really only needed one. I definitely did not get any complaints, however. These vanilla beans are wonderful! I'll buy them again, for sure.

Fragrant, moist, fresh vanilla beans. Nice and clean, no mold. Great flavor, well packaged. I'd definitely buy these again.

I was hoping to make a nice vanilla extract with these beans. I placed the 10 beans in about 650 ml of vodka. After 8 weeks, the result is barely light amber in color. I am going to let them sit for a couple more months before I decide it was a total waste of money.

Very disappointed in this product. I had to throw it away because it had an awful and unnatural smell.

I received 10 vanilla beans, about 6.5 inches long in a vacuum sealed package. When I opened it, there was very little aroma. When I brought a vanilla bean up to my nose, it had a pleasant floral vanilla scent. The reason I did not give 5 stars is I have bought other vanilla beans from amazon with a much stronger scent. I used these for vanilla sugar and vanilla extract.

I use these for making a Middle Eastern rice pudding recipe, and they have served me very well. The vacuum seal stayed strong for several months before I finally got around to using them. The beans were still nice and fresh despite having sat in my cabinet for so long. And they are FAR cheaper than buying them locally.

I was skeptical when I bought these at such a low cost. Well, I was surprised that they were as delicious as the more expensive ones and I really couldn't tell the difference. I highly recommend these and I will be buying them again.
