Best ever chewing gum!
I was suffering from a broken tooth and an abscess as a result and waiting to get to my dentist. For some help in the interim I was trying to find some advice on line. I read about xylitol (the sweetener in this chewing gum) and became really insterested and decided to buy some pure xylitol and this gum. I chew this 3 or 4 times a day and it keeps the bacterial taste away (it kills the bacteria) and is keeping me ticking over until my dental appointment comes round. This tooth was heading a bad way and without a doubt this chewing gum has helped.A happy side effect has been reduced sensitivity in general, fresher breath, and whiter teeth. I have this on a standing order now, I am xylitol convert!(Incidentally regular gum contains petrochemicals!!! this doesn't. It really is aspartame and additive free. Realy good stuff and the company deserves to do well).

Nice flavour but doesn't last very long
I like these chewing gums. They have a nice mild flavor, cool packaging and of course no nasty additives. But the flavor doesn't last very long hence 4 stars as opposed to perfect 5.

Great
This is the best chewing gum that I have ever tried. I stopped chewing gum a few years ago, because of the unhealthy ingredients found in pretty much all chewing gums. This chewing gum is a clear exception though, and I can't say that they taste any worse for it. To the contrary, they have a good and natural taste. The only negative thing is that the taste disappears rather quick.

Brilliant, and aspartame free!!!
Aspartame free chewing gum, what's not to love! That said, it goes as hard as a brick after a few minutes but since chewing gum is scabby looking, you're better to freshen your mouth and bin it. This has lovely flavour, very minty, I'll be buying again!

Taste vanishes in less than 1 minute
Each pellet is a piece of natural gum inside a crunchy shell. All of the flavour seems to be in this crunchy shell. It is nice, but very quickly dissolves and leaves the hard gum.The gum does soften after some chewing, but by that time the flavour has gone and there is no discernible flavour released from the gum. So little point in it being there really.I dimly recall having gum like this as a kid in the 1970s. I suspect food technologists developed more enjoyable gum that was softer from the start and released flavour slowly.Peppersmith sell on the strength of being all natural and this particular gum using "Fine English Spearmint".There is the implication that English spearmint is 'Fine', and that some foreign places make spearmint that isn't.I doubt I could tell the difference.Xylitol is NOT a natural sweetener, unless you mean it started off as a natural xylane. I don't think the hydrolysis into xylose and catalytic hydrogenation into xylitol happened outside a chemical factory. The gum may be natural but as it isn't ingested it makes no difference to the body. Many lethal toxins are natural. It is just a marketing word.I bought this gum after reading an article in The Times about flossing being useless. Essentially it suggested you get a professional plaque removal, use a good mouthwash to kill bacteria, and eat xylitol gum/sweetener. I made do with a good brushing, flossing and mouthwash in quick succession. This worked, in that my teeth stayed feeling glassy (instead of furry within an hour of eating).I suspect any non-sugar gum will help by mopping up any tiny bits of food, in much the same way dabbing with a bit of blu-tac would. Also the flow of saliva helps rinse away any dissolved food nutrients. Xylitol has an antibacterial effect but you'd need to chew a dozen pieces of gum for that. I can only bother with one piece after a meal at most.In summary, it is inferior as a flavour experience, but not unpleasant. I'll finish the rest of my £15 worth of gum for dental hygiene without feeling cheated but it isn't anything amazing.

Good... and Bad
With a recent reaction to my usual in store sugar free gum (IBS symptoms from Sorbitol/sweetener) I decided to give these a shot, even though they are hugely expensive, about 8 times the price of my usual gum. The item is delivered in a box with individual little boxes inside, like a retail shop display unit. The pellets are your usual pillow shaped squares, matt and cream, not shiny and white. When you first chew one, they are very much the same as usual gum, same consistency, similar taste, maybe not as strong.I personally didn't get any side effects from these so my sensitive tummy was very happy.Problem is, the flavour does not last. You will get about 30 mins of flavour max, then you are left with a chewy blob, another minus is the the high price. If they did last longer in taste, maybe the spend is justified, but, as they die off fast, I would say a fair price for this pack would be £8-10. I guess a tip to reduce production costs would be to sell all 120 chews in a seal lock bag, rather than selling in a display box... what buyer needs to pay for the display box unless they are trade? To sum up, yes I would buy them again, BUT my use of them wll be limited because of the price.

Top chewing gum
As someone that has used chewing gum for many years, I can confirm that this brand has been thoughtfully created. The xylitol sweetener is good and the mint helps to really spruce up the inside of the mouth. There is also a small pad of paper included, in which to remove the spent gum from the mouth in a respectful and social manner before it is binned.

Good gum
Bought this gum and the mints and will buy both again. Of the two, I prefer the mints as the gum loses its flavour quite quickly. But maybe the gum is better for the teeth, it does stay in the mouth longer. Both useful - it's not always convenient to be chewing gum!
