More great music from Petula,
Good contemporary sound from Petula - Singing new songs and in usual superb voice - Only wish lyrics were in English! That would make it perfect. Certainly well worth buying if you are a Petula fan. Musical arrangements and production values VG.

FANTASTIC NEW ALBUM FROM PETULA
This is a fantastic new album from Britain’s most successful female artist. All of the songs were written with Petula in mind. Great orchestrations, fantastic vocals and superb production. The quality really shows in this release. Well done “OUR PET”!

Vu de n'import où, cet album est formidable.
I've been a fan forever, so I may be slightly biased, but in my opinion, this has to be her best album since 1970's "Memphis".There are 14 songs and every one of them is a winner.Beautifully written; clever lyrics. The orchestrations/arrangements are amazing, and it's brilliant to hear a full orchestra sound again.Petula's voice is something of a treasure. She hardly sounds different from how she did 50 years ago, and the vocal acrobatics are awesome and add to the musicality... and there's the occasional trademark "yeah", even in these French language but very Canadian songs. Somehow (and I don't know how) the album manages to blend a certain nostalgic sound with something that is very 2018. That's clever. As Petula will gladly admit, any project like this is the result of collaboration. No one person makes it a success. So as well as a hearty thanks to Petula, I think we should also note the not inconsiderable talents and skills of her team of writers, directors, producers and musicians.Petula, who has been writing many of her English language songs, yet again tried something new and wrote the lyrics in French for a touching tribute to Canada, which when blended with the beautiful tune and magical orchestrations brought tears to my eyes... I will never say goodbye; I'll never close my door, even though the wind takes me far from your eyes...Most of the album is up-tempo and stirring. The songs were written especially for her by Québecois writers and the whole project took place in Montréal.Favourite tracks... Oh no... don't ask.But if pressed:'Jamais Adieu' (the Canada track) because it's emotionally tugging.'Vu d'Ici' because it's just a lovely sound. And listen to the orchestration towards the end...Partout sur la Terre, because it's very clever.Valse du Temps, because of the complexity and the vocalsAvec tes Yeux, Avec tes Mains... clever difference in sounds, and that voice...OK, and all the others too. Like I said, there's not a bad one. And that's unusual. No, they aren't ever bad, but there are always some that you like more than others. But not this time.Best album in 50 years Petula.Merci beaucoup.Oh, and yes, it's in French, but that doesn't reduce the musical pleasure. I've a friend who heard it with me the other day in the car. He doesn't speak a word of French and yet loved it.

What a fantastic album from Petula Clark
What a fantastic album from Petula Clark. Her voice sounds as good as ever and really soars on some great songs that have been especially written for her. Definitely one of her best albums that feels both as if it could have been recorded in the 1960s and also brand new. Been playing it constantly and is highly recommended for fans of Pet. Was she really born in 1932!
