I've been on a spending spree for gadgets and have added this USB-C HUB to my collection.The product arrived a handful of days ago and I'm now ready to give you my honest review.The packaging is nice and is what you would expect from the leading brand names.The item looks and feels very OEM equipment and has that aluminium metal satin feel.It feels lightweight which is the norm for a USB hub like this size and the build and sturdiness of the parts are impressive.The gaps and tolerances are uniform and connector contacts inside the slots look well made and not mediocre like some other brands.Everything that I've plugged in works fine and i have no bad words for this products. If it could be £5 cheaper, then that would be nice! Hehehe!I like it and its made my desk look tidy without cables and connector/adapters all over the place.I did research on the product by scrutinising photos, reviews etc in order to make the best choice that I can. Its paid off again. :)

New Macs look sleek, clean and stylish... right up to the point you have to connect them to anything at which point you plug in adapter after adapter until it looks like a complete rat's nest.This adapter helps solve that - as well as not loosing ports (it takes two of the USB-C ports but provides you with two) you get a HDMI connector and several standard USB ports as well as card readers.Like most people the HDMI port and USB ports are what I bought this for, and it does the job admirably. HDMI is automatically detected and USB devices work without issue. The fact it links to two ports gives it extra stability and you can plug your power cord into the adapter if needed without issue.This is clearly designed to work on the left hand side of the Mac but it quite happily functions on the right hand side as well if you turn it upside down (good old USB-C doesn't care which way up it is).My one complaint is that the adapter does sit a mm or two proud of the side of the Mac - it could fit a bit more snugly. Otherwise very happy, especially for the price.

Update: 15 October 2020.Rubbish. The HDMI slot no longer works..............................................................................................................................Very pleased with this device. I've had no issues with any of the ports.It's easy to remove the device and put into storage. It's a sturdy build and feels like a quality product.The only quirky thing about it is that everything is connected upside down in comparison to how you would naturally install the HDMI cable, SD card et al into a windows laptop.

Upon first trying to fit this product to my MacBook it just wouldn’t happen! However after a bit of force and persuading it managed to fit snuggly into the thunderbolt 3 ports, once it has been in once it will go in with ease every time after that, the first is just a bit tricky. All in all though very useful and good value for money.

Good adapter for a reasonable price.My only complaint is that when I plug a usb/SD card into it while my hard drive is already plugged in, it ejects the hard drive. It reads it again immediately but it would be a massive pain if I was reading or transferring data and it improperly ejects.I resolve it by having everything I expect to use plugged into the adapter before I insert the adapter into the laptop.

Bought this a while ago, haven't had a problem until I bought a Thunderbolt Apollo Twin Duo Audio Monitor which can only be connected via Thunderbolt 3 input.This doesn't work on this device and is not recognised by my mac, so now this means I cannot use my midi piano (which is only USB and doesn't connect to the audio monitor) at the same time.For a music producer, this is an absolute nightmare.If you don't need the thunderbolt 3 port to work however, this works fine on the other inputs, but music producers - avoid!

All the ports in one compact adapter is really helpful and had not encountered any problems with the connectivity at all. The colour and texture blends really well with the MacBook which is really nice. Overall good quality for the price. There is a tiny gap between the adapter and the mac when you plug it in which is noticeable but not much of a bother.

This is really a useful USB-C hub for MacBook Pro, it has about 7 ports to extend the usb-c to different functions, HDMI etc. The quality of Aluminum case is perfect. I do like this product, worth for money.
