Awesome little upgrade.
Fits perfect. Looks way better than the faded rubber ones and much more sturdy. Be sure to check all mounting screws as they are loosely installed.

Works Good....Needs Minor Adjustment
Overall, products works as advertised and looks great on my jeep. I would have marked it 5 stars, but the top lip of the spacer that lays across the jeep body for the hood to rest on is short. If your hood is not perfectly centered, it will slip over the edge when the latch is secured. Of course, that means that side is not really locked down. The factory latch I removed was another 1/2" longer in this area giving you room to play with.

Much better than OEM at a great price
I put a set of these on my 2009 JK. I took my time and am very happy with the outcome. Instructions are useless, but the project is very straightforward. I did use a number 5 hex adapter for my 3/8" drive to install the bottom section. It was a better alternative to the wrench included with the set.I must admit, these things are HUGE compared to the old rubber OEM.

Solid metal instead of rubber
Just finished installing on my 2012 JK. All's well that ends well. My kit came with no instructions, so it took a while to figure it out. I took the front grill off, a 2-minute job, for easier access. You might take off your wedding band also lest you get a big stuck dealing with that one nut on the bottom piece of the latch. My kit came with 4 rectangular rubber spacers which confused me at first until I happened to notice 2 were marked JL and 2 were marked JK.All in all the latches look great and look like they should last as long as the Jeep itself.

Direct replacement, no problems
Finally!!!! This was my 3rd attempt to replace a broken hood latch on my wife’s 2018 jk wrangler sierra. The first 2 attempts were Amazon OEM style that instantly broke when trying to latch, These went right on with no problems. Should have purchased these in the first place.

Easy install, sturdy and secure, can't believe I waited so long to do this upgrade
I have a 2013 Rubicon, have lived in Florida and Nevada all 10 years of ownership, had to replace the rubber latches every 2 years in that sun. I've only delayed doing this because my bumper system makes taking the front grill off nearly impossible and I didn't want the install hassle. Two of mine blew out on the same day - had to replace. And the Dealership charges $88 per strap (176 for both)!! For more rubber straps..... So off to Amazon I go.I bought these because they are stainless steel, I couldn't get comfortable with aluminum and noticed that most of the top 4wheel vendors make steel rather than aluminum latches.Easy Install - see the pic, these are the tools I used and I did NOT remove my front grill. Took 30 minutes start to stop. I used a 10mm and 13mm socket, and a 4mm and 5mm ball head allen wrench. The trick was to use 1/4 inch socket with a small (tiny) wratchet to reach the bolt (see pic). Easy off.To install, you don't try and thread the nut to the bolt, you hold the nut over the hole with your fingers and then thread the bolt from the outside - that way you just hold the bolt in your fingers and all the turning is done from the outside using fingers or allen wrench.AdjustmentsEasy adjustment, loosening the top hood bolts and sliding latch up or down 1/2". I was worried about adjustable latches that they might droop over time, but in my case, the top latches required me to adjust as low as possible to fit, meaning they are already as low as can go and cannot move any lower to come loose.Note you do have to transfer the rubber bumper from the original to these, it just comes off by gently twisting sideways and then install in same spot on these. The nylon lock nuts assure work will not come loose from vibration. All in all, impressed with quality and sturdy.Only Concerns:Although the bolts look big, they are held in place by 1/4" stainless steel screws on each side (the silver bolt heads in the pictures). That is not a through-bolt but screws holding a bolt in place. That means the sheer strength of these latches is on those screws, not the bolts. Remember, all of this is steel, and the OEM are rubber and plastic, I believe will be better. Will update my review after some highway miles and offroad miles.
