As advertised
These pants endure it all. I work in irrigation and these pants repel the water with ease. You could still feel some humidity through the pants but for the most part I stay dry. These pants move WITH you and not against you which is a plus in my book. The quality of the pants is amazing and non irritating to the skin. I'm also a bigger guy and got the 40x30 size which for perfectly AND they stretch at the waist for more comfortable movements like kneeling and bending. The seams at the knees are good for when you have to squat and it doesn't hinder movement at all.You get your 2 standard pockets on either side plus another 2 smaller pockets on the front which run pretty deep perfect for screwdrivers and sprinkler nozzles and the like.Overall I'd give these a 5 out 5. Good quality pants for the price. Will be buying 2 more pairs

I absolutely love these pants!
I absolutely love these pants! The fabric doesn't just look fantastic in this awesome blue color (which played a huge role in my decision to get them), but they're also quite superior both in quality and durability. They're adorned with an absurdly numerous amount of pockets that are placed where they're easy to get to – like with most tactical styles of apparel. The multiple configurations and styles of pockets can hold a wide assortment of items (including small EDC tools & gadgets, knives, keys, etc.). They have a relaxed fit with a nice range of elasticity at the waist band either with or without a belt on. Plus, there's additional fabric in the knees that gives you extra freedom to bend or crouch down in a more comfortable fashion. However, this particular pair of pants do seem to run a bit on the small size, especially compared to other CQR clothing. I actually have a few other pairs of pants/shorts from this brand and getting one size smaller in this pair (I got them in 36Wx30L and they fit really well). Otherwise, you can still expect a spectacularly comfortable experience, even all day during whatever activities you might want to engage in and you're sure to love them just as much as I do!

CQR - 3 different styles reviewed
Compared to a lot of the more popular brands of cargo hiking pants I’ve tried, I like the CQR pants better. For hiking, outdoors, and utility, most pants lack enough pockets, and they look silly. The Columbia Silver Ridge has good pockets, functionality, and light-weight material, but they’re floppy and don’t look nice. The CQR Sierra pants have good functionality and they look really nice!I’ve tried the following CQR styles, and here are my first impressions:►TLP125 Tactical Duratex Mag PocketPro: I love all the pockets, and the fact that some of them zip or otherwise close to secure contents. And I like the little metal rings on the front to clip items on. They look pretty cool except for the bellbottom bagginess.Con: I don’t like that they’re so baggy and especially the bellbottom legCon: I don’t like the elastic band waistCon: The material feels heavier, not as good for travel/hiking/backpackingCon: The heavier material also seems like it will be hotter and not very quick to dry if it gets wetCon: When bending and squatting down, the pants pull down and gap open in the back, creating the “plumber reveal.” I think the elastic waistband might be contributing to this. I also think they’ll be constantly sliding down if wearing with a backpack when hiking.►TXP900 SierraPro: I like that these have a more tapered leg and slim-fit. Looks much nicer.Pro: I like the lighter weight material (compared to the TLP125), with a little stretch for ease of bending.Pro: I like the waistband and specifically that there is not an elastic band bunching as with the TLP125 (And does not pull down and gap as much on the backside when squatting down, to create the “plumber reveal,” as does the TLP125.) The Sierra waistband should also work better when backpacking, and not slide down as much.Con: I wish there were more of the pockets, including pockets that can zip and close securely as with the TLP125.►TXP901 SedonaPro: Similar to the Sierra, it has lighter weight material and little more of a slim fit than the TLP125Pro: I like that there were at least 2 zip thigh pockets.Con: I didn’t like the split/double back pockets so much. They look odd, and reduced the size of a full back pocket. So I think I prefer the Sierra.Con: While slimmer than the TLP125, it looked a little more baggy than the Sierra and the bottom of the leg flared out a little more. So I like the slim fit look of the Sierra better between the two.I wish there was a model that had the lightweight material of the Sierra, a slim fit, tapered leg, the waistband of the Sierra (no elastic bunching band like the TLP125). But that it had more of the pockets as on the TLP125.I’d like to find a model that married the best of both styles. Is there model like that? Also I’d like to know if these CQR pants have a UPF rating - I couldn’t find it in the specs, and would prefer UPF 50+.

Gambled and won!
l am on my fifth pair, all are doing well, thank you. These pants have turned into all that I wear for the most part. Comfortable, good quality from zipper to seams. Sizing is spot on. I EDC several items and these pants support all of my carry needs in a positive manner. I have had people ask about them and have provided info. The only issue that I see is that you need to be very careful when ordering, as there are multiple styles listed under one banner - I just use my mouse to hover over each different color to verify style of pants. And sometimes the style that you want is not available in the color that you want... just be careful!

Perfect for Backpackers
These pants functioned perfecly for my week-long solo backcountry camping trip this past week. I wore them EVERY DAY. These pants are durable despite being made of light, breathable material. Lots of convenient pockets for odds and ends. They also held up nicely despite walking through thick patches of thorny bushes. Coupled with a single set of long underwear, this was the only set of pants that I needed to keep me warm and protected for the week. Would 100 percent recommend AND purchase again for my son once he's old enough to join me on my trips!
