Kantha Hardcover – November 21, 2017

This is a beautiful book, but it’s not what I thought it was. It’s actually the companion to a museum exhibit that took place several years ago in San Diego. There’s a whole section about the exhibit and its curator plus some in depth information about kantha in general. Really lovely and interesting.

Gorgeous and interesting book. Coffee table quality. These Kanthas are nothing like what we can buy today for our beds. Priceless gems from a country with so much variety of art and craft. Highly recommended. Would make a fine gift for a person with interest in art and textiles.

A specialty book for a specialized audience. John Gillow is a well-known and respected expert on world textiles. A great book for anyone interested in Kantha Embroidery.

One of the best books about Indian textile, rich information, excellent pictures with good quality details. The sellers - Supersonic Solutions was very helpful and kind, because the first shipment failed and I did not meet with the courier, therefore they shipped the book again. I am thankful for the friendly attitude from the sellers and quick solution of the problem.

Much better than I had even hoped for, beautiful photographic examples and a very interesting read.

More detail and instructions would’ve been nice, but a good book nonetheless
