Update: a year later and these plates still look new and beautiful—no chips or marks or stains—I run them in the dishwasher regularly too—so happy with these!—-I was completely and pleasantly surprised by these Delling Star-Geometric dinner plates!First, they come packaged very well for shipping. No problem with anything breaking here! They arrived all intact.These plates are heavier than I thought they be—not in a cheap feeling bad way but solid and thicker than I thought they’d be. They feel substantial, and they look beautiful. The heft of them was a surprise as I didn’t know if they’d be too delicate for every day use.I didn’t think I’d like plain white plates as I’ve had them before and often are bored with them, but this geometric pattern adds so much interest to these plates!I love it when I open a package I’ve ordered and feel completely happy when I see the item—when it’s better than what I expected. I like the weight to these and the pattern quite a lot.Immediately I said to my friend, “I want more of these!”These are 11 inches, which is what my other dinner plates are. What I like about these, as well, is that they curve slightly up, not as high as a bowl, they are definitely dinner plates, but the slight curve will make these great for salads, and it just adds to the interesting look/design.The price is reasonable for such well-made dinner plates. I do feel I received my money’s worth.If I’m giving 5 stars, I always ask first: Is this making me really happy—yes! Would I purchase this again/more of these—yes! Is it well made to last—yes! Is the price reasonable for what I received—yes! Would I happily/highly recommend it to others—yes! So, 5 stars it is.I hope my review helped you today.

----- BACK STORY -----A while back, I was in the kitchen and found myself thinking, 'Man... Plates. Ugh. Circular plates. They take up so much space without offering that much real estate, and they always leave random gaps between each other that you can't really use to place other things on your table.'(And here's where I geek out a bit.) So I began thinking about what would best work, and I rembered an article about bees and how hives use hexagons because they most efficiently balance storage and occupied space. And so I began searching the internet for hexagonal plates, and here they were! BUT THEY WERE COMPLETELY SOLD OUT.Crestfallen, I placed them in my wish list so that I could occasionally check if they'd come back in stock (since the other options on Amazon were less appealing). And back in the late summer, fate intervened and said they were in stock. I immediately ordered two.----- THE REVIEW PART -----First of all, the shape makes these THE BEST kinds of plate ever. There's really no wasted space with the ways these sit next to each other, and it's the best thing ever.The second thing I think I would mention is how sturdy they are. Seriously, these bad boys have some nice heft to them. I don't know if they'd survive a fall, and I'm not willing to sacrifice any of these beauties for the sake of science, but here's the proof I can offer: my partner isn't particularly gentle with dishware and will unceremoniously CLUNK these when putting dishes away, but these plates have somehow survived all that abuse without a ding.Third, the design is just stunning. A plain hexagonal plates would have sufficed for my needs, but there's also a geometric pattern embedded into the plate, and it simply elevates its aesthetic.Fourth, the size is generous. I would use these more for serving plates (to be fair, I'm Asian and grew up eating from individual bowls and using big plates for dishes). I have a picture with a mug for reference. My partner likes using these plates for everyday meals like a shrimp burger with a small side of chips, and there always seems to be plenty of room left over.The final thing is the packing. I anxiously awaited this package because I would have gone berserk if I had pined so hard for something that would only arrive in pieces. But when it arrived, everything was securely settled in the box with plenty of structure and protection. Whoever designed the packing process on these knew what he/she/they were doing.

Perfect just perfect for a slice of cake or something else! Bought them for Eid for baklava it was the perfect size ! Beautiful and elegant dessert plates !

Quality plates and beautiful set in perfect. I needed geometric plates, bowls and cups and they were the only brand I could find on Amazon that reasonably fit my theme. Very much over priced, but when few companies offer this design and pattern, worth the investment. Love love love these pieces.
