Cute, comfortable boots for light/occasional use. No match for a hard playing preschooler.
First off I want to say my almost four year old son loves these boots. They fit great, are comfortable and he has no trouble taking them on and off by himself. They also aren't clunky and don't slow him down in the least. I will be honest and say my son is very hard on shoes and thus I didn't expect to get more than one season out of any boots. Most shoes last about 4-6 months as he finds a favorite pair and lives in them. That being said we only got 3 weeks out of these boots. I can handle the scuffs and worn look (totally our fault) but they are already cracking at the seams and will not keep his feet dry. I had hoped these would get us through the spring rainy season but I am already going to have to find something else. These are great for occasional use but not serious daily wear. It's really sad because he really loved these boots.

Holey (well, cracked) rain boots: not so effective
These were great, at first. They're super cute and my daughter loved them. However, after several months--less than a year!--my daughter began complaining of her feet being wet when she wore these and the insides would get drenched. At first I thought this was bc she was splashing and getting water in the boot over the edges but after watching her carefully I realized that couldn't be it. Upon closer examination, I found that the boots had cracked along the seams on either side of each boot, letting water just pour in and rendering them completely useless as rain boots. One might say that if I'd gotten a few months of use out of them, I'd gotten my money's worth. I'd say that considering we live in California (in a long term drought) and my daughter had worn these fewer than a total of *maybe* 20 days, I'd say I'd been seriously shortchanged. I did give them two stars because they were adorable while they lasted, but no more bc at the rate a toddler's foot grows, my daughter should have been able to outgrow these long before they failed in their purpose. Very disappointed!

Terrible
I bought two pair of Oakiwear boots for my twins 3rd birthday. I will say that my boys are hard on shoes and we live on a farm so we might give them more work than the average child. However, I expect them to last more than 2 months before they're useless. I reached out regarding the other pair and they replaced them for me but also charged my account. So I paid for 3 pairs and received 3 pairs. All of them cracked in less than 2 months. I wish I had never spent money on this brand. I'll stick with Kamik next time.

Loved them at first but now....
UPDATE: we have had these less than a year and my daughter hasn't worn them a ton but the lining is already pulling away from the boot. I'm not happy about it and I hope that some shoe goo will do the trick to fix but I don't think this should have happened! We have had these for about a week. They are a little heavy and my daughter had to get use to wearing them but she loves them! She's 2 and can pull them on herself. She's usually a 6. I bought a 7 for extra room and ease of getting on. They are big so I believe they run true to size. The color and patten is such a great alternative for girls!!! Nice to have other options than pink and hearts!!!

I'll admit I'm a bit disappointed in this company
I'll admit I'm a bit disappointed in this company. My son goes to a Nature Preschool and we've bought several of Oakiwear's products including their one piece rain suits. The suits lining started to fall apart making it no longer waterproof. I contacted CS and they said there was nothing they could do because they had no record of me purchasing it (I bought it at a local hardware store). So I was hesitant to buy these boots when my son outgrew his Hatley rain boots(which he's worn for 2 years, and we'd bought secondhand). But they were on sale, so I thought I'd try them out. Within a week of him wearing these the lining started to separate from the rubber outer part of the boot near the top. It's way too early for these to be falling apart. Save your money and buy Hatley or Bogg boots, they'll last much longer.

Run a little large but good quality
Bought these for my 19 month old. She's really small and has TINY feet for her age so I was happy to find a size 4 in rainboots because I have looked everywhere for something smaller than a 5. These arrived yesterday just in time for the rainy days this week and we got them on and ready to go splash in some puddles. They do run rather large in my opinion. For reference she wears a size 4 in Carters and Stride Rite shoes with a small amount of room in the toe. I compared these to a pair of Carters boots size 4.5 that I bought her and these were larger by a half size. So you may want to size down with these. The quality is nice and I expect them to hold up well through the season. They are a little heavy but some brands are even heavier. My daughter loves them and walked well in them.

Lining Detached In Both Boots! : (
I have ordered several pairs of Oakiwear boots directly off the Oakiwear website before and have been very happy with the product. My prior purchases have always lasted a full season. When I found the Oakiwear boots on Amazon I was really excited because I have prime and could skip the shipping and get the boots quickly. The Oakiwear boots I ordered off of Amazon however, already have the lining completely detached from the top of the boot and folding in/ falling down into the boot already (both boots have this problem). My 5 year old is always having to dig the lining out and hold it tight like putting on a pair of socks as he slips his foot into the boot. Not what I expected from this brand of product at all after such a short time of wearing them (he has been using them for less than 30 days and their are not his daily use shoes...). This leaves me to wonder if these are authentic Oakiwear boots, or if they were "seconds" which I didn't see mentioned anywhere in the listing. Big disappointment since I was expecting better from this brand of product!

Good Fun.
The Great grandson, loved the wellies, BUT were too big for the child concerned. I did ask the parents for the size of their feet, and bought this size. They are still in cupboard, waiting for growth spurt so they fit. Disappointed child when they had to be put away. But he did love the boots.

Four Stars
My little boy love his colourful boots. They look good quality and durable.

Not made from a robust material.
I ordered these boots for my son last spring, and after only wearing for a few months (and not on a consistent basis, but only on rainy days), the boots have deteriorated and the sides have cracked. There are large gapping holes on either side of the ankles, and the boot lining came out after only a few times of wearing. This is not a very hardy boot, and I did invest in a pair for my daughter as well. I am very saddened that they will not even last a season.

Best boot
My 2 year old can pull these on himself thanks to the hoops on side. We both absolutely love them!
