Love Story Just in Time for Christmas
I always love reading stories about Christmas starting right after Thanksgiving and this story did not disappoint me at all. The story involves a couple who had severed their relationship a couple years prior to the beginning of the book. Becca goes on a hunting trip with her brother so that she can see her former boyfriend, Denny, in order to determine if she was truly over Denny and ready to move on with her life. The characters, story line and setting were beautifully written and very realistic. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

BRING ME HOME FOR CHRISTMAS
I love the Virgin River series, I buy them whenever they are on sale. This one was great, there was a lot of interaction with all of the Virgin River characters and a few new ones. Good Christmas story and romance.

The best Christmas story
I love the Virgin River series and have read them all once or twice. The story of Denny and Becca is special, for one Denny appears in many other books, first coming to Jilly farms when it was started. The first time he appeared I knew he was special and deserved his own book. Becca at times appeared selfish and spoiled but in the end she showed up special as well, showing us the importance of teachers. I've hat few rotten ones in my life including the Jesuit University I went to. And having been locked into a cellar at the age of three in what we call "Kindergarten" but in the US means nursery school, all for the refusal to raise my hand and saying Heil Hitler. I am 73 years old and still hate to go into a basement. Thank God in the desert where we live, we don't have them. I consider this story a Christmas blessing and a joy to read.

Denny and Becca find their way home
Readers familiar with the Virgin River series will enjoy a reunion with their familiar friends from this little town in the northern California mountains. Denny's trauma when his mom died sent him back into the marines for another tour of duty - and away from his girlfriend Becca. When he returned, he thought they would get back together. Now established as an elementary school teacher in San Diego - which she loves - Becca turned him away.Three years later and almost engaged to her new boyfriend, Becca still feels that she and Denny need closure. She surprises her brother Ricky early in the morning he is headed to Virgin River for a hunting trip with Denny and their fellow Marines and demands to go along. But Denny is not pleased to see her. Angry with Denny for being a jerk, Becca acts impulsively and breaks her ankle jumping out of his truck; now she must stay in Virgin River while it heals.Forced into being around each other for several weeks, they begin to rekindle their interest in each other. This is another well-written easy read from Robyn Carr. The familiarity with Virgin River and it's people provide a warm base for this story, while what had been marginal characters in earlier books become the main protagonists. A very nice read.

pure christmas joy!
I pre ordered this book looking forward to catching up with the virgin river gang; I had been in a reading slump and was looking for a book that would get me back to the reading enjoyment I normally love. I opened this book on a recent trip not expecting such a warm reunion. This book is amazing; not in the way that the story pulled me in and carried me to another world but more like the kitchen table with an old friend amazing. I started reading and felt like by the end I had been so enthralled that it was over before I knew it but I was satisfied. I felt like I got everything I loved about series romance. I caught up with old friends, made new ones, saw characters through good times and bad and in the end felt as though all was right where it should be. However I can't wait until January when the next Virgin River book comes out! January what a perfect time to start the next trilogy as I will be done with the excitement of the holidays, the toys will be put away, friends and family gone back to there usual routines/homes for another year, The work will be done and inevitably I will be a little bit lonely for some drama, friends, and love which I know i will get in the next book. see you in January for another cup of tea!

4.5 STARS INCREDIBLE STORY
Okay, folks this is an incredibly nice Christmas Story. Yes, it is predictible but that does not mean that it is not a great story. So, what, every story that is predictible is only a 1 star. This one is a bit of tear jerker, it is funny and it is full of the warmth of human kindness that is really the way it is in a lot of small towns. Yes, every neighbor knows all you business, but they are there for you when the need arises. Yes, most young people think they need to flee to cities for LIFE and EXCITEMENT, but for many the life in quiet America is quite enough. Sometimes I just wish I could get out the hustle and bustle of my life and return to the serenity of a small town.It is a look at life that most of us will probably never know, or know again, since our live's are so busy and caught up the in the world around.I say again, ignore the 1 and 2 stars and even the 4 and 5 if you will and take the middle road, but read this story it is a really good one.

MYNA
THANK YOU AGAIN ROBTN. One thing I enjoy is meeting again people of your other books who seem like old friends. You always have that element of humor which has me laughing until I cry. At my age and health problems that does not come easy. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

interesting series
Becca ends up inviting herself for a duck hunting trip with her brother's buddies she does it over the intention of trying to get over her former boyfriend Denny. Things don't completely as planned however because she injurers herself during the duck hunt and can't be moved. This gives her much more time to become reacquainted with Denny? Can they recapture their love or is it too late? And has she possibly found a new home in Virgin River as she gets to know the people in town. What will she do about her boyfriend? A great romance by a popular author and it did live up to expectations. I got it because it was set at Christmas but it is a great story anytime. For someone who likes to read in order, I would reccomend the first one on this book alone.

beautiful joyful read
It was lovely to start this book and again be transported to a friendly comfortable place, Virgin River. Just loved it. Becca grew on me. Book full of small town trivia, catching up on all the regulars of the town. Theres tenderness, little bit of angst, laughter, heat and romance. Above all the caring of the community. To me it was an uplifting book.14.2.16. Re-read as rereading the series. Loved it (except those typos, joined words). Would reread in future as well.

Disappointing
I didn't like the character of Becky, I just couldn't get into her at all. Maybe this series has run its course.
