Medication Zipper Hood Security Bag (Black)

I bought this bag to hold some prescribed "hot med" prescriptions to take with us on a trip. I also purchased a small combination padlock. Someone I know had MOST of their pills removed from a bottle, probably done by either baggage handlers or TSA. Anyway, my luggage made it through TSA, Canadian and US customs (twice), and several baggage handlers with no problems at all. I don't recommend YOU do this, however! Not sure of the legality. I figured the worst that would happen is that Customs would "like to have a little chat" with me, but that didn't happen. And, of course, if anyone were truly interested in the contents, they could easily use a knife and slice through the bag. But the only thing that happened is that someone on the cruise ship drank about 1/3 of my bottle of bourbon I had packed! Should have locked that up, too!

I get narcotic pain medication and it makes me nervous with teenage kids and their friends in the house. I hate having to always make sure my purse is stashed away in my bedroom. This gives me peace of mind that they can't just get in and take a couple pills without me noticing. Yes, they could cut through the pouch, but if they did I would know instantly. I got a simple lock and this is exactly what I needed.I will say that this could be tricky for anyone who has dexterity issues. You have to thread the zipper toggle through the metal end piece for this to work. I find the easiest way is to zip it almost to the end, leaving about a quarter of an inch then flip the zipper and push it through the metal end.

So glad that I purchased these Medication Zipper Hood Security Bags! I have young grandchildren and I go visit them as often as I can. We live in different states for now. I have to take several medications. And it worries me to have these medications around them in an unsecured container in my travel bag. So when I saw this on-line at Amazon I was happy to have finally found a solution to my problem! I also purchased the Master Lock Paddock with combination to complete my order. The construction, size, ease of use are great for travel purposes/needs. Now I can visit my grandchildren with ease of mind that I have my medications secured away from curious little hands. My medicines are safe and most importantly my grandchildren are safe!

It does exactly what it says and performs exactly how I thought it would. If you want something fancy or flashy then this isn't the bag for you. I use it to keep meds locked away from kids.. It's not gonna keep an adult or thief out but it does its job for the price you pay for it. I had a nicer bag with elastic bands on the I side that held bottles in place which I lost the key to and had to cut open. I then got this in a pinch and although it is very basic it does what's needed. I'm happy with it and depending on your needs I think you'd be too.

The bag is quite large but I couldn’t find anything that would hold just 1 bottle. I’d say you can fit at least 4-6 small/medium sized bottles . You need a ‘luggage lock’ the kind with the ‘wire’ type loop. With that being said, luggage locks are difficult to enter the codes (for me) because they’re so small and the shininess of the silver or gold blinds the numbers. And particularly annoying when you have to unlock it several times a day. My eyes are aging, I need glasses and light to do it. The bag could be cut with scissors it’s just a sturdy pouch, kind of like a makeup bag or pencil bag, but if your not worried about that then I’d say they’re safe inside .

I purchased this bag (and lock separately) to use as a secure storage for my medications during travel.The bag holds 4 pill bottles (ranging in size from approximately 3"x2" to 5"x5"), as well as 2 inhalers. It's compact size fits nicely in my carry-on bag during flights, and I feel better about leaving my prescription medications locked in the bag while I am out of my hotel room. I definitely recommend this product.

Nice little lockable bag. Bit fiddly to get the catch over the zipper and the zipper hole only takes a medium sized lock.
