Edited: Think twice before spending so much for this Heat Gun!
Update: I have to admit Bosch customer service was good. Next day pick up of faulty heat gun. They couldn't fix my heat gun so replaced it with a new one instead.Bought this on 21st March 2021 and I’m writing this review May 5th 2021. So after about 6 weeks it has stopped working! This is probably most expensive heat gun Amazon sells. I decided that I wasn’t going to cheap out on tools anymore and buy the best tools for the job that I can. I bought a Bosch Professional cordless drill last year and was really happy with the quality and performance. However I’m so disappointed with this Bosch professional heat gun not working only after 6 weeks and that’s not with me using it every day. I bought it to strip the paint of my sash windows and when it was working, it was great. The heat and fan controls were features I really found useful, the build quality seemed great and the overall design was really good. I only used the heat gun mainly at 200oC occasionally going up to 250oC to strip the paint from my wood windows. The first sign that something was wrong was about 2 weeks ago. When I turn it on nothing happened in the first setting, but when I switched it to the 2nd setting it turned on. At the time I thought strange, but at least I can still use it. Although it went back to normal operation the next time I used it.Today I was using it to finish stripping the paint of the last window I was working on. It was working fine, but after I came back from a 30 minute break, I went to turn the heat gun on and the LCD display wasn’t working. The fan was still working but the heat that was coming out was just warm. I tried leaving for a while and trying it again, but no joy.I am now in the process of getting Bosch to come collect and repair the heat gun. Which will mean I’m without the tool for I don’t know how many weeks! And I’ve only had the tool for 6 weeks. So the moral of this story is, Germany engineering is not the best, not bullet proof but they expect you to pay for it! I wish I bought a cheap made in China brand for £25 now, even if it packed in after 6 weeks I can buy 4 more and it will still cost me less than this Bosch heat gun!I think I’m done with my delusion that Bosch is the best, I’m still going to invest in quality tools, but will be looking at brands like Makita and Milwaukee from now on.

Not fit for stripping paint
Well was expecting it to strip the paint but no not at all not even a bubble at all so rather disappointed even if you put it to the highest it still doesn't strip. It will slowly starts to burn now atthe highest it should have got tosted but no not what I expected from bosch wich prettymuch all my tools are but am sure I will find it useful on something else 😀

Not quite ...
Purchased for plumbing applications - soldering copper pipes in particular - but not quite suitable. Tried to persevere, but never managed to get sufficient temperature to achieve result, so reverted to standard gas torch. This is a well made & designed product and would make a great paint stripper, but not much else in my opinion.

Not very happy.
I am a Bosch tools fan and I use a lot of Bosch tools, but this was a disappointed one. After 10 minutes of use in 650 degrees, just stopped heating. Nothing to say about Amazon, I had a new one sent next day after my complain. Hopefully, this one will be ok. I used an older model for more than 10 years without any issue.
