Good fit for a 2002 Chevy Silverado extended cab
Perfect fit for under my rear seat of my 2002 Chevy Silverado extended cab. I bought 2 (purchased in September 2016), one box for each side. Wiring the 4 subs in series was a little awkward but was doable. Great sound, good construction. For the price you truthfully cannot beat the quality. I was not disappointed and I am very happy with my purchase. If you are looking for a box that has earth shattering bass, let's be honest , you would have a pair of 12" subs and wouldn't be looking at this box. If your the type of person who says the box is to small and doesn't have the proper airspace for the subs, you are correct (depending on your subs of course). The reality is, if you have the space you will probably have a larger set of subs and a huge box. If you are looking for a great quality strong subwoofer box and don't have a lot of space, then this is the box for you. I have four 8" subs with 800 watts Rms amp pushing them, and I promise you, they pound and it sounds incredible. Updated Jan 2025, boxes have held up well, sounds the same as it did the day I put them in. I am still happy with them.

Perfect for the JBL GTO 804 Subs. Extremely high quality construction and materials.
This little enclosure is the perfect mate for the JBL GTO 804 Subwoofers. The quality of the materials used and its construction is beyond superb. Installed my two new GTO 804's with ease after I drilled holes and used #10-32 T nuts combined with#10-32x1 Stainless Steel Cap Screws to bolt the subwoofers to the box creating a tight and reliable seal. The sound quality from the subwoofers can only be stated as perfect and not to mention how little space it takes up in the trunk. The box itself was very light and that was also a huge plus for me since I didn't want to add any avoidable dead weight to the car (for fuel economy and to also reduce as much excess load on the rear suspension). I absolutely recommend this product for anyone thats looking for a sealed box of volume - 0.30 cu. ft.

useful and solidly built
I got this speaker box to test an idea I had for a small guitar amp. I found a set of Peavey 8 inch guitar speakers on sale very cheap, added metal grills, and planned to use a Lepai T-amp driven by my Behringer Vamp 3.LP-2020A+ Lepai Tripath Class-T Hi-Fi Audio Mini Amplifier with Power Supply8-Inch 2-Piece Steel Mesh Speaker Grill - BlackPeavey 8" Guitar Speaker 4 Ohms 70777082Behringer V-AMP3 Next-Generation Virtual Guitar Amplifier with USB Audio Interface And Energyxt2.5 Recording SoftwareI was after a small amp that would have good bass response, and it turned out fairly well. Obviously, while you could also use this rig for mp3s and such, the frequency response will not be anywhere near regular stereo quality.Again, obviously, this box is designed for woofers or sub woofers, and is not tuned properly for the best tonal quality for my use - but this was an experiment, and I was not looking for perfection, just usefulness. The box itself is MDF (not hardwood, as the copy claims) with very strong carpet glued to the outside of the cabinet. It has separate terminals for each speaker, and each speaker is isolated in its own compartment. The box is sealed and glued well, and feels very solid. There are lips on the ends which make it easier to move and carry, and I decided not to add the handles I had planned.MDF is common is speakers these days, but I don't really care for it. It is basically a form of particle board made with very fine wood dust, and while it has many useful characteristics, it also has some failings - screws don't hold as well (you have to use sheet metal or special screws, regular wood screws won't work), and edges chip off very easily.I found I had to cut away the carpet before I drilled for the screw holes or I would get melted carpet fibers clogging my drill bit. Cutting away the carpet, I found it very easy to chip and break the MDF around the speaker holes, and had to be more careful and take more time than I had planned.I also would have like the speaker wires inside to be about 6 inches longer, as it was a bit tedious to solder the wires to the speakers with them balanced carefully in the holes. The wires are a good large gauge and tinned for soldering, which is nice.On balance, I have to say I am very pleased with this box, and I plan more variants with Carvin Neo drivers and different amps. It made for a quick practice amp for guitar, and although the Peavey speakers are not the greatest, with the proper preamp or guitar processor, I am happy with the sound, given my expectations.I would definitely get this again, and intend to try others in the same line, at least for my uses. It would be fun to build a "stack" of these to see how it would work. I am also thinking about using one of the boxes similar to this to house the amp, for a more finished look.I plan to include some pictures with this review.I did not try it as a woofer or sub woofer box, so can't comment on that.

Solid little box!
Pretty good little box. I put two infinity reference 8" subs in it. First off I took the divider out of the center to increase the cu.ft. and make it a common chamber (just prefer them better), added a small amount of polyfill and replaced the terminals as I don't like the type that came with it...overall though it's a solid little box. Haven't noticed any air leaks or rattles. Anyone hesitant just buy it and you won't be dissapointed. Especially for the price and quality. Are there better boxes? Probably. But I feel this will compliment any driver nicely. And for the price can't be beat.

Perfect fit
Pretty nice little box. Perfect size for my 2 8 inch kenwood excelon subs. Air space almost a perfect match. Running on a 500x1 kenwood amp at about 30% power and they rattle everything in my 2018 explorer. Box is tight and compact. Fits perfect and I can still fold down 1 side of the third row without moving anything. Couldn’t build one for this price. Buy it.

Just too small
I put 2 ,8 inch Rockford Fosgate's in this box I was not pleased. The box is just too small there's not enough air for anything... Not worth it

I am more inclined to believe that these holes are cut too small to fit the basket mounting diameter of a good quality subwoofer
Either the Infinity 8" subwoofers I loaded into this were oversize, or the cutouts in this enclosure were not cut to the normal size that an 8" subwoofer cutout should be. I am more inclined to believe that these holes are cut too small to fit the basket mounting diameter of a good quality subwoofer. When I tightened the screws down, the too-small cutout in this enclosure caused the basket on one of my subs to warp enough that the voice coil makes a distorted sound when the bass hits now. Can't hear it with rock music, but anything without highs to cover up the noise sounds like crap. The box is plenty sturdy, but beware when you go to load woofers into it so that you don't go to screw them down and bend the baskets on your subs. May have to ream the cutouts out a little more.
