As a watercolor painting beginner, I have been studying several different watercolor paints to find one that works well for me. This is one of the paints that I am using to compare .

I got the 24 metallic watercolor set. Took a while to get here but was WORTH waiting for! Colors are soft yet have plenty of pigment. The case allows you to change the positions of the colors to your preference. It looks small but the pans don't have a false bottom, and have a really apple supply of paint. LOVE the water brushes and the case has a pallete to enable tou to mix your colors. Metallic refraction is subtle and not over the top. VERY HAPPY with this set and will get other sets to complement my "collection"!THANK YOU!

My husband is just getting started in watercolor painting and this was his Christmas present. Brushes are of good quality paper is just right to paint on and everything was of good quality to get him started

Some of the best watercolor pans I've ever used (not a professional but a long-time painter).Mine came with two water brushes which are good because they come with caps and don't leak, but the water comes out of the wring place in one of them when squeezed (might get worse over time? but for now it still wets the bristles so it is okay). Synthetic bristles, stain easily (doesnt come out with soap) but don't shed and keep their shape.The paper pad that comes with it is pretty good value, seems to be cold pressed but it's only about 80 lb (220g/m^2 as labeled) so it does buckle pretty heavily. The colors don't leak to other pages or the other side though so its good enough for sketches or tests, it would probably be fine if taped down and not layered too much.The paints themselves arrived color sorted and none broken. Comes with mixing tray and a small sponge. Not oddly grainy. Some of the colors are difficult to tell what they are on paper so i recommend swatching before using. They spread well but not out of control when used wet on wet. Vibrant, saturated colors, not streaky, not blotchy, or too opaque.Pallette includes: Lots of blues, purples, greens, and yellows. a few pinks, some browns, a black, two grays, and a white.The pans are easily removable too but dont seem to pop out or get damaged with normal use/transport so its a great set to mix and match and rearrange if you like as well.The colors blend really well together, They don't just swirl together they truly mix, however, using the brushes and paper in the kit at least, blending on the paper needed so much water that it started picking up the paper a bit, so be careful.All in all I am super happy with this kit and I would likely buy it again. The paint is good for finished pieces (haven't tested lightfastness but other than that) but not the paper or brushes. Best I've seen for its price.

The paint is good quality and many excellent pigments to choose. Two nice starter brushes and the paper is handy size for small projects or practice.
