When I opened the tube, the pigment was strong, it didn't like other oil painting tubes filled with oil. I love this product and I will continually buy from this brand.

This 1980 Gamblin Titanium White is a student grade oil paint but I love it for the times I want less opacity.

Good product, it's white. I needed more white oil paint for my painting. Gamblin 1980 oil paint is what I've used and I'm happy to receive more of it. Shipping time was quick and the tube arrived neatly. I recommend this product.

I'm a professional oil painter and usually stick to artist-grade paints, but this titanium white is much easier to work with. It’s less overpowering and more transparent than regular titanium white, due to the added calcium carbonate in the 1980 line. For this particular white, those qualities actually work to my advantage. However, it is made with safflower oil, a semi-drying oil, which is why I gave it 4 stars. While it’s less prone to yellowing, it’s less stable, and there are concerns about its long-term archivability.

What can I say folks, it's oil paint. It is in the brand I like and expect to perform well. Seemed fresh enough, not old feeling.

This paint is perfect for the wet on wet technique and it is reasonably priced
