door dog scratch protector
my dogs scratch at the door when they hear anyone drive up my driveway. I had this product for many many years and it worked great. Recently I fostered a Great Dane and although he did not scratch the door, when I was opening the door, he ran out before I had the door all the way open and snapped it in half. I immediately ordered another, and I bet it will last for the rest of my life. I also like the fact that it doesn't look scratched and is so easy to keep clean. Perfect fit for my door and easy to cut if necessary. Great product!!!!

This works awesome! Great protection!
I was renting and my dog scratched the door when stressed. Until she got used to the apartment I got this and cut it a little to make it less wide. It only took some durable scissors to cut it, even though the plastic is tough.Itâs really easy to use. You just hang it on your door knob when you need it, slip it off when you donât. It provides great protection. I never stuck it on my door.

Less expensive that paint, a sander, or door trim
Moved to a new house and was worried abt the dog scratching at our new doors. I purchased a total of 3 of these.I think the dog has only actually scratched at these once. For some reason heâs actually sort of freaked out by them, and does not like scratching them. So I suppose they serve their purpose! They can be a pain in the A coming in and out the doors. But on the plus, they also sort of provide a buffer to keep puppy from slipping between feet.I tried to take pictures but the frosted glass can be difficult to photograph. The first 2 pictures should be the kitchen door. On this one I had to trim the right side down because the counter is next to the door. The plastic is thick, so I could not get the piece onto the door without trimming. I also had to trim the bottom of both the kitchen and side doors. I didnât on the front door, so I guess maybe my knobs are at different heights... once trimmed, the plastic does not sit straight and tilts on the knob, leaning into the cabinet. I tried trimming the other side to even out and it wasnât successful. In the kitchen image, you can see the plastic coming away from the door. I wasnât sure if this was due to the knob or what. The last two images are the side door. The guard was also curving up on the side door. Because of the weight I couldnât keep it on the door, so I cut a hole in the top to let the deadbolt out. I couldnât find my packing tape so this is currently being held together with painters tape which is not the best look. If it would have stayed up without me cutting it, I probably wouldnât have bothered. I thought about cutting the top down now, since the dog hasnât been scratching, but my luck heâd start doing it directly above that spot!Overall, these have been effective for me. They arenât best looking, and Iâm hoping not to keep them up forever. Thinking theyâll come down once the puppy is used to the knew house, and then stay in the basement in case we ever have a new dog. Definitely worth spending the money on these instead of a door!

Skip this, use a piece of cardboard instead!
Honestly, the box this came in worked better than the actual product. Not joking. I wanted to use this on an exterior door to prevent my large puppy from scratching the paint and damaging the door frame. This plastic hangs so loosely that the pup kept knocking it off, which scared him, but didn't stop him from trying. I took the box this shipped in, cut it to fit my door, and then cut a slit just big enough to shove my door handle through. This worked SO MUCH BETTER! Even more, the cardboard box protected the door and the door frame. Seriously, save your $$$ and just use a leftover box.

Just buy it!
Omg, just buy the dang thing! I bought 2, one for my front door and one for my back door. Our front door is literally old old wood (we live in new orleans) and we rent so I had to get something to protect it against my little psychopath with fur. Its been over a year and i have not had to replace either of them! its a little "out of place" you could say but if youre renting i say its worth it!

This didnât hold up very long , wasnât as sturdy as I wouldâve liked. Not as stable. Doesnât fit for what we needed. Doesnât work.
