Nathan James Theo 2-Shelf Industrial Wall Mount Ladder Table, Small Computer or Writing Desk, Nutmeg/Matte Black

Just got this today and put together myself, though it would be easier with a helper. :) It is perfect for the space I wanted and even though the wood isn't solid wood ..the coating they use looks nice and can't complain for the price :) Arrived in perfect condition and super easy to follow directions. Overall really happy and have solved the mystery of where to put my laptop in my new townhome :)

We love our ladder desk. It’s modern and sleek. It matches our decor beautifully. It is spacious but not bulky or over powering. It was super easy to install and it feels sturdy. Our son is using it for his virtual classes and he is able to put all his heavy books, notebooks, a file organizer, a pencil caddy, a paper organizer, his laptop, plus some succulents. It allows for him to independently do his work and be comfortable.One of the shelves arrived with a scratch but customer service quickly sent a replacement desk. They offered a refund but we really love the piece and requested a replacement instead. About a week after the replacement arrived Nathan James surprised us with a box of chocolates as compensation for our troubles. It blew me away. I would consider buying from them again in a heart beat.

This desk is fantastic! It's the perfect size for my small room. It's worth every penny. The desk looks high-end and classy. It's very heavy and sturdy but I was able to put it together in about 45 minutes. I did need help mounting it to the wall but that took no time once we got the position right.

The only downsides are that this desk is heeeeavy and it is a multiple person job to get it secured to the wall. Unless you are really strong, I recommend having a friend help. I love the height of the work space and the solid feel of the wood. The color is also perfect and I am so glad I got this desk over the others that I was debating buying.

We were very surprised by this Desk. We expected it to be made from cheap press board and thin veneer as many types of furniture like this have been in the past. BUT this Desk is solid. The metal frame goes together very well, and the Desk top and shelves are heavy and solid. Not solid wood, but they seem like they could take a beating. The instructions were actually well written, and easy to follow. The shipping package was heavy and large, but it was packed very well, and everything was there and in good shape. The hardware was packed and organized well, corresponded with the instructions, and easy to identify.My ONLY negative about this Desk is the attachment points to the wall are 30 inches apart. So for most walls in the USA have wall studs 16 inches on center, so it would be nice if the attachment points were 32 inches apart to be able to attach this heavy Desk to the wall via the studs. For this reason we only gave the Desk 4 stars.That being said, the Desk hardware comes with wall anchors, but I hate wall anchors, so we attached a couple cross boards to the studs in the wall, then attached the Desk to the cross boards.We ended up buying 2 of these desks.

I really love this desk! I was looking for something smaller for my home office. This is perfect. The only thing I would have done different was ordered two desks instead of the separate shelf unit-also from the same seller. There really is no room for another monitor. Somewhat sturdy depending on the anchors used in wall mount. I had a professional installer build and mount it. Overall so cute.

I was torn between putting a comfy chair or desk in the corner of the guest room, and decided the desk would be more functional. This desk/shelf is perfect for the space! I got the rustic oak/white. It was easy to assemble, EXCEPT the holes where you screw it into the wall at the top are at a really awkward angle, and we weren't able to get them all the way screwed in and ended up having to call our handyman to rescue us. It was a piece of cake for him and now it's SO sturdy and completely attached to the wall. It gets minimal use being in a guest room but has held up so far over the 9 months we've had it. Highly recommend.

This has definitely been the easiest assembly I've ever done. The instructions were very clear (also funny and relatable) and the furniture material was well made. All of Nathan James' pieces look sleek and expensive. The ladder desk and shelves are perfect for small spaces. I sandwiched the desk with the regular shelves.The Nathan James customer service is top notch. I've never experienced any company that handled an issue so well and hassle-free. They went above and beyond and made me feel special as a customer. I'll be checking their stock first for any furniture I need in the future!
