Laughter is the best tonic in the world ,and so is this series ,
This series seems to have been under everyone’s radar and all of a sudden has burst into the limelight since it’s been on Netflix ,I enjoyed it so much I bought the dvds ,it’s one of the best comedy iv seen in years ,it came to my attention after it kept winning awards and great reviews ,Well folks they are not wrong ,in lock down it’s been a life saver , and the time of my life watching the series ,it’s a great cast farther and son and sister in real life ,the son wrote the script which is hilarious and full of one lines which seem to roll off the tongue ,the mother with her glamorous outfits in a small town has won a huge gay following ,the gay son with his quick whit and not fitting in with his new surroundings of a one horse town ,the sister with her selfish attitude ,And the farther trying to keep everyone happy ,at first you don’t feel sorry for the family they were rich and loose everything ,forced to live in a rundown motel ,serves them right you’d think slowly over the series you start to warm to the the family and almost feel sorry for them as they come to realise the true meaning of family and friends ,it’s a journey of discovery and one you will want to take with them ,it’s about time we had something to laugh at in this time of uncertainty ,loose yourself for a while and scream with laughter it’s the best tonic in the world ,

Guilty pleasure, worthy of a boxset binge.
No spoilers. This is a solid drama series. There's plenty of dry american humour, but it isn't laugh out loud comedy. Definitely more "Meh" than "LOL", so don't expect comedy gold unless you appreciate dry american humour. It's basically a riches to rags story, where a rich family loses their fortune through no fault of their own. They are forced to settle in schitts creek, which the government allowed them to keep. The family are clueless and completely out of touch with their new community. This is probably the best way to get you invested in their characters, life and developments.Eugene Levy is still type cast as "Jim's dad", and is basically playing a rich and successful version of his "American Pie" character.Definitely worthwhile watching, probably 3.5 stars but I've rounded up to 4. Enjoy!
