Works great, waiting on a foggy night
Works great, waiting on a foggy night. Price was very good.Installation was pretty easy. The attachment wires could have been a bigger Guage and it would have made the installation much easier.

Nifty Gadget / Short Life Span/Total Junk
EDIT: 2/25/17So, I liked the idea behind this item and, despite the fact that the first one I bought only worked for 3 months I decided to try again and bought a second unit. Different truck. Ran all the wires from the third brake light under the truck and up through the tailgate, mounted the light, pressed the brake pedal and...nothing! I wasn't entirely surprised as cheap junk is cheap junk and I knew this going in. This is definitely a "cheap junk" product as the second one didn't even work straight out of the box. I don't understand where all of the positive reviews are coming from, unless the seller is using paid reviewers. I've had 2 of these things now and neither one worked.EDIT: 12/9/16 3 months after actual installation the light dimmed to basically no light emitted. I tried cleaning the connections and even wired it directly to a 12v source with no improvement. I did not have high expectations for the price so I can't be too disappointed. It was pretty cool for it's short life and did keep other drivers back where they belong.I found this to be an interesting little gadget, and I love gadgets. I have it wired to the "third" brake light on a Ford Ranger which took a small amount of wiring work. I see that some folks wire this to the tail lights or tag lights, which is not really what it is intended for. I would think that wiring it that way would increase your chances of getting stopped by the police, and it doesn't really serve a purpose having it on all the time. But that's just my opinion. I don't want people running in to back of me when stopped and I don't want people right up on my bumper at red lights. It is generally accepted that when stopped at a light you should be able to see the rear wheels of the car in front of you, which when measured is around 10-12 feet.I just used the double-sided tape to mount the light, and I mounted it as high as possible to reduce the chances of bouncing the laser light off of a wet road in to the eyes of following vehicles. During day light hours the red line on the road is not very bright and I've noticed fewer drivers seem to see it. Obviously, the darker it gets outside the more noticeable the light becomes and drivers do seem to see it and most stay back behind the red line. I found this light to be fairly simple to connect and extremely easy to mount. The light is simple to adjust to your desired distance away from your bumper and it can also be adjusted horizontally to ensure the line is straight. It seems to work in keeping most drivers away from my bumper when stopped, I haven't been hassled by the police (yet), and it is so inexpensive it was worth the experiment.

Best car parking aid
I tried 3 different parking aids and this one tops them all. It is fully adjustable and can be mounted anywhere. It takes a bit of thought on placement but it does a perfect job once installed and you don't have a tennis ball hanging down. Best part is the wide laser beam that actually guides you into a tight space. It doesn't help tell you where to stop although you might be able to adjust it so the end of the laser beam tells you where to stop.
