Remarkably exciting to the last page
A page turner to say the least! I have a read a lot of Romance Fantasy styled books over the years and few stand out the way C. N. Crawfords FROST does. From start to finish I was captivated by quick witted characters and a plot with twists. The romance between the two leads is a slow burn that leaves you aching for more!! I can’t wait to find out in her next book in the series, AMBROSIA.

Games and Trials? No. Fun read? Yes.
This was a quick, easy, fun time. Was it completely cheesy and predictable, yes. Did I enjoy every second of it, also yes.The banter and chemistry between the FMC and MMC is great and I was addicted. I liked how the story was very modern and helped bring like ancient fae into the future.I do think the “games and trials” fell very flat. The last sword fight was the only good one. The rest was just missed opportunity. You’re telling me round one eliminated like 98% of the contestants? Lame.Anyway, over all the story was entertaining and a fun read.

So good it doesn't need to be missed!
First book I've read by this author team. I own several of their books but read so many I just always had them on my read next list. Finally started with this one. Omgosh! It was so good sometimes I just had to stop and move around lol. Idk if that makes sense. I even skipped to the end when halfway through because I couldn't stand not knowing what happened. It was all still good when I went back where I had left. The entire story kept me hooked. I lost a lot of sleep staying up past bedtime. I loved all the characters. And it gets really steamy but leaves you wanting more. The whole tragic story of how Torin is cursed to kill any woman he loves is so heart rending. The ending is so amazing. I want to say it leaves you hanging but not like a cliffhanger type of read. Sort of but also satisfying yet wanting the next read. I wasn't angry about how it ended like in the cliffhanger style books I've read in the past. Ohh I'm just not doing the book justice. I really feel like everyone should have to read this book. It's so good it doesn't need to be missed!

Amazing start to a new fae fantasy series!
5⭐️ 1🌶I loved this book. It was an amazing start to a really fun and engaging fantasy.Ava is a fae who grew up in the human world after being left outside a human hospital when she was 6 months old. So despite being fae she has grown up pretty human, went to humane schools, has human job, and a human boyfriend. At least she did until she walked in on him in bed with another woman, on her birthday. She ends up at bar trying to drink away her sorrows when she meets the devastatingly handsome Seelie King Torin who is in town delivering invitations to the lucky fae women who will compete to be his wife and the Seelie Queen. Ava is not a candidate. But after venting her anger to King Torin in a pretty spectacular way, he thinks she might be just what he is looking for.Faerie is dying without a Seelie Queen on the throne. So Torin is hoping to find a temporary queen who after resting Faerie to health, will quietly leave allowing him to rule in peace. He offers Ava an exorbitant amount of money to compete in the games for his hand, which he will rig to make sure she wins. Torin is adamant that this be a marriage of convenience, that he cannot and will not fall in love with her. Having sworn off all men, being homeless and jobless Ava agrees. But they find themselves getting closer as they work together to make sure she survives the games, which could have deadly consequences for Ava.I really loved all of these characters. Torin was incredibly arrogant but also a sweetheart who was willing to do anything to see to the welfare of his people.Ava was so relatable. She had some pretty terrible things happen to her and she was just trying to do her best. I mean who doesn’t want to identify with a strong woman, who loves her friends, take out, reading and can weirdos sword?I adored Ava’s best friend Shalini, she was hilarious. I really hope she gets a well rounded story within this series or a series of her own.I just finished and I already can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.
