Started to work within a few hours
Excellent and started to work the first night it was plugged in. After a fall out between my two cats one was feeling stressed so we got this and she calmed down straight away, there is now harmony in the house again.

Useful
It definitely helped my cats when they moved into our new house. Still using the refill ones as they seem more calm

You can really tell when it starts to run out!
Last year, I was at my wit's end with my new kitten. He is a rambunctious, confident little thing and was bullying my two older cats, always pouncing on them, biting their back legs, disturbing them when they were settling down for a nap, making them move, and then curling up in the very spot they just exited. This is AFTER we had him castrated! Every morning he'd wake up super early, go on the hunt for any item in the house that rustles and then proceed to very loudly play with it until either myself or my husband woke up and threw a slipper at him, or fed him (I got really good in the end - I'd never have to follow up with the second slipper, my aim was that good). I noticed that both the older cats were finding it hard to settle around him, my lovely little girl cat getting really quite distressed whenever he went near her, and I was sick of being woken up at 5am every morning (I'm one of those unlucky people that once are awake, can't go back to sleep). I was terribly sleep deprived and desperate for harmony to be restored in the house. My husband wouldn't let me rehome the kitten (yes, it got that bad) so I looked into having the husband rehomed instead, but no one would have him as he isn't house trained.Anyway I've heard of Feliway before and was so desperate I tried it. Oh my God! After the first 24 hours I was like "Oh, it hasn't worked, where's that damned slipper?" but after 2 days when it had kicked in - ahhhhhhh...peace!!! That morning I woke up at a blissful 7am with my very relaxed, sleepy new kitten curled up on my chest and my oldest cat curled up on my pillow, purring. Things have been very quiet since, the kitten is calmer, more relaxed and doesn't bully the other cats. The girl cat is more accepting of the kitten although they will never be best friends, and they all get up at the same time my husband and I do. They're much more affectionate too.I know it's definitely the Feliway, because as it nears the end of the bottle they start to wake up early again and go on the rustle-hunt.The house is so harmonious now that it's worth every penny. I know it doesn't work for some cats, and to be honest I'd probably say it has very little affect on my eldest cat, but when it does work, it REALLY works, and when you've gone 3 months with poor sleep anything is worth a try.

Burglers, Cat Poo, Sweet Dreams & Savings!
After a recent break-in one of my two cats started acting a bit schizt and developed behavioural problem - no doubt due to stress. He started constantly meowing and prowling around, back and forth, like a caged bear sent crazy in a Chinese or Eastern European zoo.He also started defecating on the floor around the house which, as well as being gross, was pretty embarrassing when I had friends round. This is called 'middening' and is a sign your cat is uneasy in its home. Basically the break-in and the intruder had left him stressed and he was displaying all the classic symptoms.Seeing my moggy upset, was upsetting for me too, so I called a friend of mine who is a vet and she told me about this stuff, Feliway's Calming Diffuser, and I have to say it's worked a treat. It's a bit like Prozac for cats and releases calming kitty-cat pheromones into the air helping your feline to chill.Ike stopped pooing around the house almost immediately and the prowling stopped a few days later - he still meows at me quite a but, but a lot less than he did even before the break-in; and he's a Bengal so they're a very vocal bread anyway. All in all, both of us are very happy with the affect its had on our household. It seems to have calmed him right down. Not only that, I have been able to get a decent nights sleep for once too.A good nights sleep is something I've not been able to enjoy since I got my two cats as both of them have always slept slap-bang in the middle of my bed making it hard for me to move about and get comfy. But since the introduction of the diffuser they've only slept on my bed once or twice - I'm guessing this is because they now prefer to sleep in the living room where the Feliway is.The diffuser itself works like one of those Airwick Plug-in air freshener devices and simply slots into your wall plug. The design is perhaps a bit unsightly, and its bigger and bulkier than a plug-in air freshener but it isn't too bad. They could have made the grill white thought rather than the horrid kind of sepia brown which they chose - this gives it a kind of old, brittle look. The refills simply screw in the bottom and last about 4 weeks. However, they're not cheap and this is why I'm knocking off a star.I feel that the Feliway Diffuser is a great product that works well, but it is extortionately priced. The cheapest I have been able to find it is around 13 quid (that includes delivery) if I buy them in bulk from a place called Animed, here on Amazon. I find it makes sense to order these 3 or 4 at a time otherwise you risk defaulting on your mortgage and not having a house to plug them in to. I bought it from Animed here on Amazon and the my refills were waiting for me at work the next day.

Perfect fit anxiously cats
In comparison with the same pheromone treatments out there for dogs (never seem to work), this one makes a difference to anxious cats. I have used it for years and I will do so in the future.

It works
This product was recommended by the vet. At first I was sceptical about it, but willing to try anything to help my cat. With a change in our routine she was stressed resulting in overgrooming (she was licking bold patches on her legs) Rhis seemed like a easy way to help her deal with stress. After plugging it in I've noticed she would walk towards it checking and sniffing. It's been now 2 months and she's much better, more relaxed and eager to play. I can see she's becoming as she used to be lively, mischief kitten.

So Worth It!
Senior stray cat adjusted very quickly and I believe this is why! I plugged it in an enclosed room two days before he came in and he settled very quickly. It's a good size, doesn't stick out too much or get in the way, there is a slight smell at first but it dissipates within a day or two and lasted for a month. The refills are very easy to install and well worth it. Great quality and value for money!

Doesn't last 30 days
Why did you choose this product over others?:Would give this five stars, but it does NOT last 30 days. We have two diffusers, one up one down, and neither last anywhere near the stated time.Otherwise seems to do the job for our easily stressed Billy Bongo.
