Audio Adapter Compatible with Many Devices
This USB C audio adapter is a handy device to have around. It makes it easy to connect my USB-C MacBook or iPhone to external speakers. The stereo audio quality is great, so I don't have to worry about distortion or signal degradation. The adapter also has a 4-position TRRS 'headset with mic' support, which is great for making phone calls or recording audio. And it converts the USB-C port on my devices into a headphone jack, which means that I can use my existing headphones without any issues. The 1-port USB 3.0 hub that's integrated into the adapter is also a useful feature. I can connect my mouse, keyboard, or other USB 3.0 devices and there are no drivers needed. In terms of compatibility, I've used this adapter with my Windows machine, on my MacBook, and on my iPad, and it works perfectly on all of them.I would highly recommend this USB-C audio adapter to anyone who needs to connect their USB-C devices to external speakers or headphones.

Nice and Affordable USB C Adapter for Additional Input/Output Audio and USB A Controls
The DriverGenius U3AU001 USB Type-C to 3.5mm Digital Audio Interface Adapter is a very small form factor aluminum plug and play device that plugs into a USB C port turning it into a 3.5 mm audio jack for both input and output of audio signals and a USB A port for your choice of USB A plugged accessories.Although designed for use mainly with laptops I plugged the device into one of the front USB C inputs on my Mac Studio. After plugging it in my Mac recognized the device and added "USB Audio Device" to both the output and input device lists for sound control. Both my wired headphones and my desk microphone worked through the 3.5 mm input on the DriverGenius U3AU001 USB Type-C to 3.5mm Digital Audio Interface Adapter.Further, with the DriverGenius U3AU001 USB Type-C to 3.5mm Digital Audio Interface Adapter plugged in I was able to plug an older USB A memory stick into the USB port on the device and the Mac again instantly recognized the stick, allowing me to read from, and write to, the stick without any difficulties. My only complaint is that the device's drive light did not light up with anything I did through the input or outputs. That doesn't effect the device's operability but just nags at my mind as it is supposed to be there yet isn't.All in all the is a very simple, yet elegant looking adapter that will extend the abilities of newer laptops and desktops that either do not have an audio outport, or whose audio outport is broken, to add that audio capability plus enable the use of USB A accessories if the machine does not include that older interface. The cost of the device is, at this time, under $10 yet looks like it would carry a heavier price tag. In my estimation, for the simplicity in which it performs its designated task and the sleek look of its manufacture the DriverGenius U3AU001 USB Type-C to 3.5mm Digital Audio Interface Adapter is a strong 4 star product.

Too short
The usb c plug on this is too short to use with any kind of phone case. It is a pain to have to take my phone out of the case to use this adapter.

Add on USB-C to headphone/mic port and USB-A port
This device is great for adding a headphone/mic jack. It also adds a USB-A port for things like external HDDs and flash drives. When plugged in, the device is right up against the USB-C port, so if you have a case around your device, you might need an extension cable. If you don't have a case, it's nice to have the device right up against the side of the computer/tablet or phone. The device itself is pretty sleek. The outside is aluminum.I use it with my Samsung Tab S7 Plus mainly to hook up headphones to listen to music or audio books. Sound quality is great. I also use for USB drives from time to time. It works pretty well. It can do both at the same time too. The tablet automatically selects the output with headphones plugged in.

Helped my daughter with her Mac
This was such a great idea. It helped my daughter and gave her an output for wired head phones an extra usb A insert and slowed her to use extras with her new M2 Mac. The usb c worked well and gave her more ports. She is happy with it as am I. Grey price for this little adapter to create more use and options for our Apple Computers.

Great for smaller laptops
My younger sister has a smaller laptop with not much space on it and she always wants to use headphones while she watches videos but she cant, so she always ends up bugging for my laptop. I'm really glad I found this because now she has extra ports and can use her headphones. It's not bulky either so it wont take up a lot of space either. It also is very strong and durable.

It has some quirks...
The first thing that I want to make a point of is...that you get what you pay for. For $10 bucks you're not going to get a top of the line quality audio adapter. I mean... it's really not too bad for what you're paying for. However, this seems to be kind of like a "one tone" monotone type of adapter; despite in the title it says digital. If you have surround sound...you're not going to be able to hear all the different effects that you normally would get with a surround sound system. But it is going to amplify the sound, and make it sound better. But you're going to miss a lot of that digital quality that most people enjoy when they're watching a movie, or television. It's not hard to set up. And it does seem to have a little bit of an unstable build to it. But if I can get this thing to work for a couple of years, then I feel like I've gotten my money's worth. But if it lasts longer than that...then I say I hit the jackpot!
