C.O. Bigelow Face Care Collection Purifying Cleansing Bentonite Clay Mask

I have been working in dermatology for about 11 years, I know more about clay, toner, vitamins, retinoids, acids, peels, serums, moisturizer, you name it... I previous used Glycolix Purifying Mask— it was sulfer-based, not very smelly, but hard to apply. I felt like I had to use more product than needed just to get a thin layer on my face. It dried too quickly. Was crumbly as times. The vehicle delivery was not very consumer frIendly. I would have to really wrestle with the tube to get the rest of the product out when I as running low. It seemed to be the most eficacious for my skin, the only reason I kept purchasing it. Time for a change. Sorry Glycolix, it’s not me. It’s definitely you...I have oily skin, worse in the T-Zone, mid forehead and chIn. Mostly hormonal cystic, inflammatory acne with a couple blackheads on my nose and chin. I use Retain-A 0.1% twice daily with a Vitamin C Moisturizer. Glycolic peels 2-3 times per week, mattifying mineral makeup, but I still get some shine a few hours after applying makeup....I used this mask for the first time yesterday — it has a pleasant smell (kaolin clay based vs sulfer) is a blue-ish color, applies very easily (and you don’t a ton of product to apply a thin layer over your face) dries smoothly. I let it sit for 15 min as instructed on the jar.*JAR!! So much better than a TUBE!*No crumbling, tight feeling, burning, irritation.When I rinsed off, my skin felt sooo smooth! no tightness after completely drying, my skin felt hydrated but clean and brighter. I followed with jurlique rose water toner/mist. A thin layer of moisturizer around my nose.What I like most is this cooling effect it has when first applied. It is less expensive than Glycolix ($12 less), a little goes a longggg way. It really felt like my pores were opened, clean and my skin felt velvety smooth and fresh. I would definitely recommend. Sensitive skin friendly, but would try a test spot first. Use moisturizer after if you have sensitive skin.

The CO Bigelow purifying cleansing mask is for normal to oily skin. The mask has a nice minty clay smell. I really like the smell! The mask also has a beautiful light green blue color to it.The directions say to apply an even layer to clean skin. Allow mask to dry on the face for 15 to 20 minutes. When the mask is set, remove it with a warm wet washcloth.I left a mask on for 20 minutes. After taking off the mask, my skin felt nice and had a nice glow. My skin felt extra clean. I enjoyed using this facial mask and will use it again!

I am obsessed! Feels great on the skin. Leaves face feeling clean and refreshed.

I got a jar of this for my birthday in June, I LOVE IT!!! Clearly so does my room mate because he used most of my jar in under 2 months. Anyway the clay feels minty fresh, it feels good while it dries without pulling and tightness! It makes my skin feel and look clean and doesn't dry it out! I think this jar would have lasted me a year if my big headed room mate wasn't using it more often than I. I use it about once a week and will order more when I get paid! Excellent purchase! Saving the old container to fill with a surprise for my sneaky roomie and hiding my new jar! Make surr to hide your jar so your husbands don't use it all up! It's that good!!! 💥😁
