Compact, a Game Changer for Smaller Venues!
I have the much bigger brother of this item that I use at almost every gig. What I love is the controls layout is almost exactly the same as my 24 channel system. Behringer is known for their engineering, and there is nothing cheap about this system. I've always used powered speakers, and since there are only preamps in this item, they are required. Only one channel of effects, but it has like 99 different "voices" so you can really dial in your sound on every channel. Smaller than a laptop computer, lighter than a paperback book, throw it in a backpack with a few leads and you can usually make one trip from your vehicle during setup. Great for sidewalk gigs, as a spare for my big guy, and very capable to be the center of any DJ gig. Almost all of the features of many larger and more expensive systems.

I owned another Behringer mixer and gave it away in perfect order. Regretted not buying another.
I had the version from years ago of the Behringer Xenix 12 channel without the effects. I gave it away because I thought a friend could use it. I happened to buy a Mackie mixer to replace it, and the internal power board died after a few years, probably due to my mistreatment. However, I expect my equipment to endure mistreatment. I abused my original Behringer Xenix 12 channel I had, and it held up. It did look worse for the wear, definitely, but all of it's functions worked.I just received this new Xenix mixer which happens to have the effects built in. In my recording setup I do not need the included effects, but they are fun nonetheless. I like to use them sometimes if I'm in a chat with someone using a Shure 57 plugged into it. It's fun to toss a huge reverb on the audio to "make a funny point." I plugged in this new Behringer Xenyx 1202SFX and everything works fine, and it sounds just as good as the Mackie mixer I was using. The Behringer is lighter, more compact, and has only a few less options. The Mackie had a 1/8th" stereo input jack that was convenient, but I just used a 1/8th" to 2 - 1/4" jack cable to two 1/4" inputs on a channel, and it works great.I'm not sure why Amazon doesn't recommend this mixer, because for me, my old one held up under abuse. That's partly how I judge the quality of equipment. If it can't hold up under my regular usage, which is often abusive, then I don't want that equipment.

Works great
does everything i need including the ability to add reverb to the channels. connects easily and no problems with quality. Price wise was lower than all others i looked at.

lots of options
this allows or multiple inputs and outputs of a variety of plugs. instructions are less than helpful...and they are less than helpful multiple languages. but the product seems to work as it should.

Reliable board, USB feature is great
I have used Behringer boards for the last 25 years for remote sports broadcasts and home recording. This unit with USB solves connectivity issues for me. I can now play and record into laptop, which is phenomenal! For the price, it’s a bargain!

Small and versatile
My new favorite mixer. Had as a backup and it was handy. Was able to add voice to zoom via computer port and all was great. Bought another 4 for some of my facilities to have as a backup or common use.
