Great present for my 4 year old grandson. He absolutely loved it. Sadly the bug examiner broke within 10 seconds but everything else is still going strong. The jacket and the hat were especially well received as he was completely absorbed by being an explorer for 3 hours in the Isabella Plantation in London.

Granddaughter loves it

This is really good.My boy loves bug hunts and always comes back from his afterschool with tales of catching some beastie and helping it find a new home. I had to get this for him when I saw it and he loves it. He had parts of it with him next day and we ended up driving home from afterschool with a woodlouse held captive in the meatballer looking device.With the exception of the binoculars that don't really work everything is decent quality and the trowel is actually made of metal so doubles up as a gardening tool.

Bought for my 5 year old.It's a cute kit with various little tools, well packed, although I do feel an unnecessary amount of plastic packaging was used, every item inside the box was in a plastic bag that is not recyclable which was a little disappointing.My biggest issue though is that within less than 5 minutes of playing, 2 of the tools broke. The quality of the tools is poor, with flimsy plastic breaking far to easy for a child's toy.The vest and hat are lovely the size is pretty good and so far seems to be OK and I do like the fact the vest is a zip fasten. The bag is really big but it isn't the strongest so I wouldn't suggest putting anything other than the rest of the kit in it only.

My little lad LOVED this outfit when he wore it for world book day at his school. He's about 5 but it suited him fine and all of the accessories are thoughtfully and safely made so that they don't pose any risks because of sharp edges or choking hazards etc.The whole set is fairly well-made and comes in a box with everything in it - ideal for giving this to someone as a present also!

My grandson was with me when this arrived and immediately he wanted to put it on. It was a good size and fit well so I’d say it was true to size. Fabric is thin but it is a cotton type fabric so it washes well.The little kit of bug catchers was good fun, although a little bit flimsy and he loved the binoculars that came with it.Good fun item for little ones

Like a lot of young kids my nephew’s young daughter loves exploring the countryside and likes bugs so this kit should give her hours of fun when the weather warms up a bitIt includes assorted bug catching items, a magnifying glass, binoculars, a small trowel, a whistle/compass, an explorer’s jacket and hat and a drawstring carry bag.The sort of thing I would have loved to have when I was her age.The quality is fairly good for the price. I wasn’t expecting amazing image quality from the binoculars but it’s pretty good.
