I watched a Netflix series “salt fat acid heat” and the chef recommended it. She said that alot of chefs use this salt since it’s less salty than other brands and it takes a little bit getting used to how much to use but let me tell you. Once you get the hang of the amount, oh man! This salt is really life changing when cooking.Texture: large flakes than your regular table salt which allows for a lot more surface area for your salt to adhere to which greats a better tase.When prepping steak: the great thing about this is it draws more of the moisture which creates a better crust on your steak when you’re cooking it.Great value for your money.Taste is awesome!I did an infusion of British thyme/rosemary and this salt for a rub for my steak the other day and it was phenomenal.Cheers ! Its really hard to over salt anything with this salt.Weird story - a lot of salt makes my feet get hot and swollen (painful to talk type) drove me crazy. How do i know it was salt causing this issue - because i finally bought this salt to replace it all (except for msg still use that) no more burning red hot swollen feet. (The worst offender was a mineral sea salt)Others have said it. This is a mild salt. Ive added heaps to food and not once was it to salty to eat. Youd have to dump so much of this salt to make food inedible. I love it. I will never use any other saltThis has also been tested as being the safest least likely to have bad chemicals in it salt. Its fresh and good for health (youd be amazed how many salts test pistive for heavy metals and bad chemicals you dont want near you)Get it. Use it. You wont regret it.Texture. It reminds me of the salt on fast food french fries (it probabaly is the salt used on fast food french fires)Mild saltiness... weird right ? But lick your finger and eat some striaght... its the perfect salty flavor and wont make your go "pssscchhk" (spitting noise) followed by a big glass of water.You get a lot and will last awhile. Totally worth the price.

If you know, you KNOW.Fantastic flavor (not too salty), great texture (flaky but not super coarse), and the size of this particular box is great value for the price. I cook quite a lot and this box tends to lasts me 8-10 months.

pretty much the only kosher salt you want to use. No anti caking agents, just salt. Uniform texture, great tasting, all natural salt.

This is a great salt. The flakes are big and "fluffy" I prefer this to some other brands of Kosher salt as it feels a little better when sprinkling on stuff and the crystals are "fluffier" and not rock hard. It does cost more, so I cannot say that the overall taste is going to be noticeable unless you are eating it directly or say put a sprinkling on a piece of french bread with butter. If you can get it at a good price then it really is worth a try.

Diamond Crystal Salt to me is the only kosher salt I am interested in using. It just works…enhanced flavor but without the overly salty taste that can be a problem with other salts. It is the perfect salt for brining in my opinion.As far as the product itself, the box arrived somewhat crushed with some salt leaking out of the box so perhaps better packaging in shipping is recommended. I kept it anyway.
