Great for feeling fuller helping with weight loss
I bought this psyllium husk powder to help with weight loss by making me feel fuller before meals and it’s really doing the job. I mix it with water about 30 minutes before eating and it definitely helps curb my appetite so I’m not overeating. It mixes easily with water (just stir quickly) and while the taste is a little strange on its own I add a tiny splash of squash and it’s completely manageable.Pros:• Helps reduce hunger before meals• Easy to mix• Only need a small amount• Great natural fibre boostCons:• Slightly odd taste plain but easily fixed with squash• Can thicken quickly if left sitting too longVerdict:If you’re trying to manage your appetite or add fibre to your diet this is a great product. Just mix and drink it fairly quickly and adding a bit of squash makes it totally fine taste wise. I’ll definitely keep using it as part of my routine.

Very good
Have been using this for just 2 days, it has made a noticeable difference immediately. Reasonably priced in comparison to a lot of other similar products. Day 1 I mixed in a glass of water, there wasn’t much of a taste. Day 2 I tried dry scooping, I would strongly recommend against this as it just stuck in my mouth and took quite a while to consume it, I won’t be trying this again, back to mixing in water. Either way, it has had the desired effect from day 1 with just 5g per day.

Comparison with Seven Hills
I ordered this before reading the other reviews and so I would like to add some information.Taste - compared to Seven Hills product it tastes different, it is very slightly more bitter but that does not bother me. It is less bitter than black coffee.Consistency - raw it is a very fine powder so handle with care. No different from the seven hills product. I have a heaped teaspoon in my "bullet proof coffee" (50 to 100g butter, 1 heaped teaspoon powder and 2 heaped teaspoons coffee into the nutri-bullet - yum). It does thicken it, but nowhere near as thick as the Seven Hills product. This is not a problem for me.I have not tried it in baking but if I did I would call my purple products "artisan" and charge extra :). If I did bake then I might consider using this as it seems a little less laxative than the Seven Hills product but the Seven Hills product is much "stickier" when wet it may suit some recipes better.Outcome (poo) - I find this product is a little more forgiving than the seven hills product. I found that a heaped teaspoon of seven hills was too much and used a level/slightly rounded teaspoon. I am regular, once a day no worries :)Value for money - I think that it is on a par with the seven hills product I used slightly cheaper but you need a tiny bit more.Overall - 5* because it suits my needs. It is fine in texture, taste and function for me. If it is too bitter then I would suggest Seven Hills (but this was out of stock when I ordered).

Adulterated or padded out with something else?
I have returned this as I think it might be adulterated or at least padded out with something else. The powder was darker than my previous brand, was quite gritty in the mouth, tasted quite bitter, and didn't really gel in the water like my previous brand. There were fewer of the 'strands' stuck to the glass after I'd drunk it, and the water at the bottom was unthickened and full of little bits of grit. As I didn't have confidence that I knew what I was consuming, or that it was what it claimed to be, I've returned it.
