Thrilled to find this
My dog has bladder stones and my vet said this food might dissolve them. Dog loves it. BUT , hard to get. Out of stock more often than in.

It really is a great product
It really is a great product, it helps prevent crystals and stones in our Dalmatians. It's within a couple dollars as what you would pay at a Vet's office. Our Vet has been out of stock for a while so this was great, being able to find it.

Product recommended for urate stones
This is the food we were recommended to feed for urate stones. Unfortunately, even on this diet, he still had more. Most likely it is because his dna and not the food. He doesn’t seem to love the food either. But I hope it is at least slowing the production down.Edit to add: he got so fat so fast. We switched him to another brand for urate stones. Hopefully we will have better results. He seems to like it better

Glad they made kibbles smaller
My dog has been eating this for years. When the old one ran out, I was pleasantly surprised that they made the kibbles smaller. It was small before to begin with but my beautiful senior dog is only 12 lbs so it was still "big" and a struggle for him. Today, he loves eating the smaller kibbles. Thanks Hills for thinking of the small dogs.

Product change
This product WAS great until they changed . My dog has had lots of problems with this. He's been on this diet for years. Until he kept getting sick and i could not figure out why after many vet visits. Every time i try to put him on this diet he gets extremely sick. I tried it many many many times. Its a shame. Anyone else have problems since they changed this product?

effective treatment for prevention of UTI
Our female standard poodle has had frequent recurrence of UTIs. We put her on a 10-day course of the anti-antibiotic, amoxicillin suspension, and at the same time, changed her food 100% to Hill's Prescription Diet U/D kibble and canned from Hill's Science Diet Senior formula. She likes this food and it has made a remarkable improvement in her well being. No more UTI discomfort or inconvenience. We'll continue to feed the U/D formula indefinitely.
